Bersi Honey-Hand was surprised to hear a knock on his door so late at night. He placed the vase he was cleaning aside and went to the door, cracking it open slightly to make sure he wasn’t letting in any unsavory characters.

“Oh, Bolli,” he said, surprised. “What brings you here so late?” He opened the door wider, allowing the fisherman to enter into the warmth of his shop.

“I have a gift for you,” Bolli said, reaching into his pocket. Bersi was stunned to see the paper that he slapped onto the counter.

“Bolli…this is…” He picked it up, rubbing his eyes to ensure that he wasn’t just imagining its contents. “Is this some kind of joke?”

“Not at all.” Bolli procured an inkpot and quill from his pocket, nudging them towards him encouragingly. “It’s all in order, all you need to do is sign. You’ll have complete control of the fishery and all of its assets, and if you need help with the employees, I’ve made sure that Tythis is ready and willing to help you get a hang of things.” Bersi stared at the fisherman, who was smiling brightly, and blinked incredulously.

“This…this is an honor, Bolli, but…why, after all this time?” he asked.

“I’m leaving the city, that’s why. I’m going to start over somewhere else, so I won’t need the fishery anymore. You and Drifa want to leave the city as well, and I’m giving you the means to earn enough money to do so. What you do with the fishery after that…well, that’s your decision.” Bersi gaped at him, but nodded slowly.

“…Okay,” he said slowly, dipping the quill in the inkpot. Bolli nodded triumphantly, pocketing the newly-signed document.

“Take care of your employees,” he advised him, heading for the door. “Good luck, Bersi. I hope our paths cross again one day.”

The rest of his night was simple enough. He placed the document on the dining table in Mistveil Keep, returned to his home, and packed anything he thought he might need. Most of it was gone regardless, either replaceable or taken by Nivenor. With two full bags, Bolli hurried from the city gates, awoke the carriage driver, and tossed his bags into the carriage.

“Take me to Whiterun,” he said proudly.
