He came to a halt as Farkas grabbed his hand and pulled him closer. “So, what does this mean for us?“ Their eyes met once again, just like in that fateful night a lifetime ago. “What do you want it to mean, Farkas?“ “I don't know... but I don't want to be the next person that finds himself betrayed by you.“ A split second after he finished his reply, Farkas found his lips sealed by Hagen's. This kiss was different. It was gentle, almost chaste. It was a promise for things yet to come. “I tend to be loyal to the point of stupidity. The only time I've ever betrayed anybody I loved was... well, when I met you. I will never meet anyone like you, Farkas.“
This time it was the wolf who closed the distance between their lips.

“Do you think Orla will be fine?“ Hagen shrugged. “She is a strong woman with a heart of gold. She always gets her way...“ “Like she got her way with you, you mean?“ Hagen chuckled. “Yes, like when she tricked me into marrying her. No, seriously. She is a good woman. Selfless enough to let me go for my own sake. Though I can't deny I sort of want to strangle that Knot-Beard...“
Farkas laughed and patted his lover on the shoulder. “Let it go. Forget about them. From now on it is just you and me.“
Hagen laughed and took Farkas's hand.

Orla returned to the temple in Markarth the next day. Dibella was a goddess of love, after all, and Hagen's heart had never been hers. She knew the day would come when he finally found the right person, yet a small part of her had always hoped it would be herself. However, she would always remember the happiness she shared with the man she loved, but at the same time appreciated her freedom to return to her duties. Maybe she should never have left the temple in the first place. Being a priestess of Dibella had its perks, after all, and Hagen had never appreciated her Daedric-Boots-and-trout technique. She left Roggi behind to look after the house. A smile crossed her lips when she remembered how hard it was to convince the steward to aid her with her little scheme. She did not even remember the last time she had such difficulty to convince a man to lay with her. But in the end he understood, and agreed to help her despite his fear of the dragonborn's wrath.

Orla knew she did the right thing, and Dibella would reward her with happiness. All she needed to do was believe and wait. With a proud smile and her head held high, she entered the temple. Finally the priestess had returned home.
