Argis and Ania sat at the table in the house was building. It was located between Whiterun and Dawnstar. Usually it was quiet except lately, lately it seemed everyone wanted her attention. There was messengers everyday.
“When are we heading up that mountain again?” Argis growled as another knock on the door interrupted them. Her housecarl was sent to the market for food and to give them time. Her steward was getting more wood for her, and she ordered him to take his time. She had this planned, but it seemed like Skyrim was against them once again.
She didn’t mind if it gave her a repeat performance of the last time they went up that mountain.
“Not for a bit, have too many mission building up,” she muttered with an apologetic look.
She watched as Argis rose to his feet to answer the door. She didn’t bother trying to listen in, she knew Argis was probably threatening the messenger, especially the one who had been coming by in only his underwear and a hat. The first time had been amusing, now it was annoying.
“Ania, I’ll be outside practicing for a bit,” Argis told her. Her eyes narrowed at the sound of his voice, she knew something was up, and wasn’t sure if she wanted to check.
She decided she didn’t want to know and if its something really bad she’ll use her Thane status to get him out of trouble. There was no way she could have the best lay in Skyrim in jail. Not a chance in the nines could she allow that.
She thought she was well versed in sex, she had numerous lovers, but Argis… That man knows his stuff. Not long ago he taught her that feathers could be used for more than just stuffing pillows and mattresses. She also found out snow could have some very good uses. She shivered at the memory, her body automatically tightening at the images in her mind.
She was broken from her musings by a scream. Quickly she raced outside to see what in oblivion was going on. She stopped dead when she found Argis, her mouth dropped open before splitting into a huge grin.
Argis had strapped the messenger to the target and was now shooting arrows at him. Not one had hit him, and she knew Argis could hit him easily if he wanted to. But that wasn’t the point…
“No more messengers here! Make sure all of them know this. She has houses all over Skyrim hand it to her other housecarls,” Argis growled.
Ania chuckled as the man’s head bobbed frantically as he nodded his agreement. She watched as Argis let the man go. It was another first, seeing a man run that fast.
“Had fun?” she asked with an impish grin.
“Now we should not be interrupted,” Argis purred as he pulled her against him.
“Hmm, then I should get the feathers,” she murmured against his mouth.
“I’ll meet you in the house,” he rumbled before claiming her mouth.
Ania grinned as she watched him walk into the house. She couldn’t believe her luck. It had been hellish in Markarth, but now, she wouldn’t change a thing in the world.
