I had nothing wrong with this story until you did that. Really. But would it really have been so difficult to keep them IC?
I didn't give two shits about anything else. I actually liked this story. It was good. I was enjoying it a great deal because I like Companion fanfiction.
Genuinely, apart from that one blip in their characterisation you've got them spot on. Aela being vengeful and Skjor going after the DB to make sure she's safe? That sounds like something they'd do. It was good.
You just didn't have to write them forcing someone because they aren't like that, and sure 'it's your fanfic' but someone took the time sculpting Aela's personality and you went 'NOPE' for ten seconds.
