Meme Announcements!

ANNOUNCEMENTS: UPDATED 12/16/2017

Happy Holidays, fellow Kinkmemers! I have returned and have no reasonable excuse for my absence except LIFE. I will be working on updating the archives. If anyone sees anything amiss, please let me know.

I am also hoping to find another Mod and an Archivist.

The more dedicated people we have in this Meme the less chance of it dying. I admit that being the sole keeper of the Meme is not great for the fandom. If something were to happen to me, for good, this place would go the way of the Fallout Kink Meme. Let's not let that happen! If anyone would be interested in Modding/Archiving, please drop me a line. Thanks! <3

Alone (M!DB/Romlyn) (49/?)

(Anonymous) 2013-09-30 12:53 pm (UTC)(link)
The few days Romlyn had forced him to sit idly in this house had been torture; there was no other way to put it. And now they even had a child living here with them who didn't like his guts.

"Romlyn?"

"Yes, my heart?"

Romlyn hadn't used that pet name in a while. It was reserved for special occasions. He had probably called him that on their wedding day, but Serano wasn't sure anymore.

"I hate this."

The dunmer lifted his head slowly to meet his gaze. His red eyes were unreadable.

"Not you, or being with you like this", Serano clarified. "I just can't stand playing house with you and that brat. Believe me, I've tried, but I can't bring myself to care. That girl is probably not going to accept me as her father, and honestly I'm relieved to know that. Because it means I won't have to pretend to care for her various traumas. I like you, but you can't expect me to stay in this house for longer than a few hours. Your work here is tedious, I hate half of this city's inhabitants and can barely tolerate the others, and this whole place just sickens me. This life you're trying to build for us here... it's just not going to work out with me. I will leave at sunset, and nothing you could say could make me reconsider."

He chose to omit some of the most important reasons why he wouldn't be a good partner for this, namely the horny dog and the power-hungry dragons; but he didn't even know where to begin to explain that. It was something he brought on himself, anyway, and consequently he felt like he had to be the one dealing with it as well.

"I see. I figured as much." Romlyn tucked his head beneath Serano's chin again as he said that, so the altmer couldn't see his face anymore.

He sounded uncharacteristically resigned and admitted defeat without even trying to fight for what he wanted. But then of course he wouldn't, not after what Serano had just done to him.

"I wanted to believe that if I just tried hard enough... but I guess I should have known better."

The dunmer tried to laugh it off, but with his body so close to Serano's the altmer could feel the way his body trembled. Serano resumed stroking his hair and tucked a few loose strands back behind his ear.

"So... what are we going to do now?", Romlyn asked, his voice somewhat subdued.

"Of course we'll just continue the way we have always done. You take care of your shop and I come back here every other month to check up on you. You can keep Runa if you want, as long as I don't have to deal with her."

Serano couldn't see his spouse's reaction, but he could feel it against his chest: Romlyn wrapped his good arm around Serano's neck to draw him closer. Dry lips pressed themselves against his throat.

A sharp intake of breath followed by a dry laugh, before the dunmer slowly shook his head.

"No, that won't be enough."
