Meme Announcements!
ANNOUNCEMENTS: UPDATED 12/16/2017
Happy Holidays, fellow Kinkmemers! I have returned and have no reasonable excuse for my absence except LIFE. I will be working on updating the archives. If anyone sees anything amiss, please let me know.
I am also hoping to find another Mod and an Archivist.
The more dedicated people we have in this Meme the less chance of it dying. I admit that being the sole keeper of the Meme is not great for the fandom. If something were to happen to me, for good, this place would go the way of the Fallout Kink Meme. Let's not let that happen! If anyone would be interested in Modding/Archiving, please drop me a line. Thanks! <3
Sleepless - Part 115/115
(Anonymous) 2014-04-27 12:59 pm (UTC)(link)Ariella padded barefooted through the halls, not a single sound being made. She had things in Vilkas’ room that she needed to collect, not that she was keen to go in there. Though admittedly she had been in there twice since Kodlak’s death.
She’d needed a book of his was all and then she returned it. He didn’t even notice she was ever there; he didn’t read these days anyway.
The Breton slowly opened the door thankful that it didn’t make a sound as it was pushed open. The room was dark and Vilkas was asleep, alone. Ariella felt partially relieved though she wasn’t sure why. Even though that woman wasn’t in his bed currently they had still slept together.
Ariella quietly opened the draws and located her clothing. She grabbed everything that was hers; surprised it was still there. She bundled it under her arm and looked towards Vilkas. Even in sleep he looked troubled, even more so now.
Ariella held her breath and walked over to him, kneeling beside his bed. She lightly brushed some of his dark hair from his face and smiled when his face softened slightly.
A tiny part of her hoped he would open is eyes. That he would see her with her things about to leave and he would beg for her to stay. And she would stay if he only asked her to.
But no words passed his lips and his eyes did not open.
Ariella could allow herself to be selfish just this once. She leaned forward and pressed her lips lightly to his. He was asleep and there was almost no response but Ariella felt somewhat soothed. When she pulled away from him his hand began automatically searching for her but he was still very much asleep.
She moved quickly out of his reach and left the room. As the door closed Ariella wiped away the tear that had rolled down her cheek and she went back to her room to continue packing her things.
Soon it would be like she had never been here. There would be almost no trace of her here. She collected everything that belonged to her and securing her bow and sword she set out. The Companions would move on.
Ariella just wanted to go home.

So this is the ending I've had in mind from the beginning, so I'm sorry to have brought them this far only to tear them apart.

(Anonymous) 2014-04-30 11:35 pm (UTC)(link)I do like the symmetry of ending with the opening line. And I did enjoy the ride.
