Meme Announcements!

ANNOUNCEMENTS: UPDATED 12/16/2017

Happy Holidays, fellow Kinkmemers! I have returned and have no reasonable excuse for my absence except LIFE. I will be working on updating the archives. If anyone sees anything amiss, please let me know.

I am also hoping to find another Mod and an Archivist.

The more dedicated people we have in this Meme the less chance of it dying. I admit that being the sole keeper of the Meme is not great for the fandom. If something were to happen to me, for good, this place would go the way of the Fallout Kink Meme. Let's not let that happen! If anyone would be interested in Modding/Archiving, please drop me a line. Thanks! <3

Dawning - Part 19/?

Farkas frowned as he picked up the scraps that used to be a training dummy. The post that once held the sack and straw was broken and nothing could be saved. Farkas scooped up the mess and shoved it aside. He would have to pull out a new training dummy.

Once again his concern grew about his brother.

At dinner Farkas studied Vilkas, watching and observing as he felt like he was often doing. Vilkas acted the same as before, mostly anyway. Sometimes though he drank his mead too quickly and would often leave if the conversation turned to the past.

Tonight Vilkas moody, it was something he had done before any thing else had happened. While no one else seemed to notice a change Farkas swore there was something different. A certain light gone from his eyes, he was normally angry with the world about something and Farkas knew he had reason to be angry at the world.

Vilkas left the table after a while. He didn’t say anything to anyone just stood and left the room, eyes to the floor as he went. Farkas considered going after him, something he thought about doing often, but it wouldn’t do any good.

Vilkas didn’t talk anymore. He spoke to people but he never talked. Farkas wanted to be the person Vilkas could talk to about anything but for some reason Vilkas had shut him off. Any attempts to salvage the brotherhood they once had resulted in either a shouting match between them or a wolf transformation.

The Beast Blood was just another thing to worry about. Farkas looked down at his hands. He was still cursed himself, and the Gods could only count the number of times he had almost died in battle.

He didn’t like to think of it too much but he couldn’t help but think of the hunting grounds whenever he left on assignment. The cure was readily available to him, yet knowing it would only push Vilkas away more he waited.

Farkas wanted Vilkas to come to his own decision about curing the curse, then they would go together and perhaps Farkas would get his brother back.

“Farkas.” Aela’s voice cut through his unnaturally deep thoughts and brought him back to the present. “It’s time for bed, wouldn’t you say?”

Farkas nodded and pushed away from the table, heading downstairs. He heard Aela following cautiously behind. When they closed to doors to the Harbinger’s quarters she spoke.

“Out with it.” They both began moving around the room preparing themselves for bed.

“I’m worried about Vilkas.” Farkas tugged off his tunic and began to unlace his boots.

“When are you not?” Aela was into her sleeping tunic and already climbing under the covers.

“This is… different.” Farkas dressed in his sleeping trousers and settled next to Aela. She rested her head on his chest and gazed up at him.

“Tell me then.”

“What if he becomes…” He almost couldn’t say it. He had feared it for quite a while but to admit it to someone. “What if Vilkas becomes… feral?” The last word came out as a whisper.

Aela sat up slightly and raised an eyebrow. It was not unheard of for people to lose themselves to completely in the blood that they lost themselves. She had no idea Farkas held such fears about his brother though.

“I mean he loses control, his temper is short, he is violent, he doesn’t talk to anyone, he doesn’t talk to me, he changes regularly and… and I think he relies on his inner beast to make any decisions for him.” Aela considered Farkas’ words.

“Perhaps it’s time then.” She said, looking at Wuuthrad, mounted on the wall.

“I can’t lose him, Aela. Not like this.”

“I know, love. We’ll send Vilkas out for a hunt tomorrow and discuss it with Athis.”

“I really didn’t want it to come to this.”

“I know.”

I always feel that if Farkas was closest to his brother Vilkas perhaps now would not be so lost! I still hope that Vilkas manages to win the beast! At the end of the first story were all lost ... each one in its own way!

Oh shit, this doesn't sound like something that Vilkas will like.

I'm more and more looking forward to this story, I need to figure out how it will be for Vilkas and if she is really dead ... or if there is atonement!
