Meme Announcements!

ANNOUNCEMENTS: UPDATED 12/16/2017

Happy Holidays, fellow Kinkmemers! I have returned and have no reasonable excuse for my absence except LIFE. I will be working on updating the archives. If anyone sees anything amiss, please let me know.

I am also hoping to find another Mod and an Archivist.

The more dedicated people we have in this Meme the less chance of it dying. I admit that being the sole keeper of the Meme is not great for the fandom. If something were to happen to me, for good, this place would go the way of the Fallout Kink Meme. Let's not let that happen! If anyone would be interested in Modding/Archiving, please drop me a line. Thanks! <3

What's a Thief to a King? Author's Note

A/N: There you have it. I apologise for the typos and the mess at part 27. The Ao3 version will be edited. This was very difficult to write and I hope I did a good job. Dyce’s changing opinion of Ulfric mirrored my own; from indifference, to dislike, to respect and a bit of love. I dare say Ulfric will spend the next thirty-odd years trying to convince Dyce to marry him, but Dyce won’t take it personally.

Thanks for reading.

This story made my heart hurt so many times in all the right ways. Thank you, Dyce!Anon.

Angst is the best and you do it so well. This has basically been the perfect Stormcloak faction story: it's got the whole plot, it's written well, and it's done with a character a lot (most?) of us already knew and liked, which was like the charming icing on the cake.

Also, is this the end of Dyce's adventures? On one hand I'm assuming no (lord knows I hate to put down toys I love), but it seems like such a thorough and gorgeously happy ending after everything else.

Further adventures

Some of the stories I've already written take place after this one (Dyce mentioned to Erandur that Ulfric keeps sending him invitations which he makes Calder write out excuses for.) But I think I definitely need a bit of a break after this one.

If a prompt catches my attention, he'll probably be back.

passerby anon just wants to say thank you for all the wonderful fills. def some of the best on the meme :) and this was really awesomeee<333

wudn't mind seeing more dyce fills but after all this im really hoping we'll eventually see dyce's final, sort of "one true" love if he ever has one ^_^

Oh noooo, Ulfric, don't cry! XD Aw, this was so sweet. And clever, ha, Ulfric not having to deal with the fallout of letting the Argonians back into the city.

DYCE ♥ DYYYYYCE we all love him so much. I don't think he'll ever settle down, and I'm pretty sure Ulfric realizes that somewhere in his heart not that he'll stop trying lmao but that doesn't mean he can't give out ALL THE LOVES

EVER

I love how the change in Ulfric is so visible in this story-- he actually gets off to the idea of Dyce calling him "my Jarl" and "my King" near the beginning, although he doesn't actually come until remembering Dyce's independence lmao loyalty turning Ulfric on, why is this surprising-- but now that they're actually in the sack together Ulfric prefers Dyce being Dyce, and it's a lot more personal.

Ysolda ♥ OH GOD WHOOPS the princess of Skyrim is the woman who would've sold Dyce his wedding ring during A Night To Remember. Unfortunately I'm not as familiar with Dyce as I have maybe implied through this comment? So I dunno. I'M NEW HERE.

And I hate that all of my comments are ULFRIC, but I feel like Dyce pretty much speaks for himself! Spreading love forever, like a true hero. Because seriously, Skyrim needed it. Still needs it.

I hope you, Dyce!anon, don't ever feel pressured to write Dyce stuff for us, by the way. This is a really long fill, and I waited on the edge of my seat after every update, but I wonder sometimes if you feel like you're on the clock, which is not fun. So whether you feel that way or not, here is my personal assurance that we will enjoy whatever you write and other things if you don't write and feel free to take that well-deserved break ♥ This was such a lovely ride and definitely one of my favorite fills on the meme.

Also lmao Ulfric it only took you forty years to figure out about Paarthurnax.

I did feel compelled to write this, but mainly because of Ulfric. I'm a sucker for a redemption story and once I'd decided I was going to fix one of the most difficult NPCs in the game I got a bit obsessed with it for a week or so.

I like writing for you guys though. If it hadn't been for all the interesting prompts, Dyce wouldn't exist in the first place. And all the lovely comments too ;)

I can imagine Ysolda and Dyce would have an odd relationship. "Um, hi. You may remember me as the guy who gave you a mammoth tusk and bought a wedding ring while really drunk...anyway, GUESS WHAT?" Although I think he'd be a bit more subtle and tactful, really.

Yeah, really, anyone who knows about shouts should have picked up on Paarthurnax, even if they were just a youngster. Maybe Ulfric wasn't as dedicated in his studies as he'd like people to believe.

I wasn't originally intending to read this...because well i've never been much of a Stormcloak fan. Nor am I over fond of Galmar or Ulfric (I sided with the imperials on all of my play-throughs even though they are not exactly my favorite either.) But I am so glad I read this. It was amazing and you made me like Galmar and Ulfric to an extent which is something I thought would never happen. I just...all of the little details like Dyce and Ulfric's Th'uum battle and Ysolda and just...everything. I swear I was grinning like a fool when Ulfric and Dyce were teasing each other. and Dyce's reaction to Ulfric's torture scars was so sweet. Did I mentioned how much I like Dyce? He's wonderful. Simply wonderful. and you are wonderful Dyce!anon. I'll admit i'm mildly jealous of your abilities. You bring characters to life in a way that I just can't seem to put on paper.
