Meme Announcements!
ANNOUNCEMENTS: UPDATED 12/16/2017
Happy Holidays, fellow Kinkmemers! I have returned and have no reasonable excuse for my absence except LIFE. I will be working on updating the archives. If anyone sees anything amiss, please let me know.
I am also hoping to find another Mod and an Archivist.
The more dedicated people we have in this Meme the less chance of it dying. I admit that being the sole keeper of the Meme is not great for the fandom. If something were to happen to me, for good, this place would go the way of the Fallout Kink Meme. Let's not let that happen! If anyone would be interested in Modding/Archiving, please drop me a line. Thanks! <3
In My Time of Need Ch 1/?
(Anonymous) 2013-04-05 02:44 am (UTC)(link)Melina walked through the gates of Whiterun. She withheld a groan that wanted to bubble out. Her stomach had been upset for the past week, each morning she was puking her guts out, and sometimes during the day.
Her plan was to go and see Danica, hopefully the healer could tell her what the problem was. Her first thought, was her worst, but she highly doubted it. She prayed to the eights that she wasn't...
It’s not like she didn’t want kids at some point, but there was too much to do. Plus she wasn’t married, and the father…
She gave a relieved smile as she walked in the temple and walked over to Danica. “What can I do for you Thane Melina?” Danica asked politely.
“My stomach has been very upset over the past week, I need you to check it out,” Melina muttered and couldn’t meet the woman’s eyes. She laid down on the make shift bed and waited.
Her stomach fluttered when she felt the woman's magic probing her, searching for what caused her ailment. “Melina, you are not sick…”
“Don’t say it,” Melina muttered with a scowl. She didn’t need to say the words, they both knew the truth.
She was pregnant.
Her stomach clenched from nerves, her heart heavy now that she knew the truth. She was going to have a child and raising it alone. It was too much for her to ponder.
“Danica, keep this quiet between the two of us please,” Melina implored. Without another word she walked out into the warm air and headed home. She didn’t bother saying a word to Lydia as she walked up stairs to her room.
She sat heavily on her bed. She couldn’t believe she was with child and the father was a one night stand. The sad part, was she saw the father often, too often now that she thought it.
With a shake of her head, she didn’t know what to do. Her options at the moment was to tell the father-to-be, or leave town and never return.
“My Thane, is everything alright?” Lydia asked when she saw her Thane sitting on her bed with her face buried in her hands.
“Yes; no; I don’t know…” Melina said as she trailed off with a desolate shake of her head.
“What happened?” Lydia asked as she took a seat on the bed next to her Thane.
“I just came back from Danica, it turns out I’m with child,” Melina answered with a bitter laugh that hurt to hear.
“What are you going to tell…”
“Don’t. I don’t even want to think of that yet,” Melina hissed.
“My Thane you could always abort the child if you don’t wish to carry it,” Lydia told her quietly.
Melina stared at her silently for a moment. Could she do it, could she take an innocent life? Could she get rid of this problem just because it was going to complicate her life? She didn’t know but it was an option. “Who would have I have to talk to about that option?” she asked.
“Danica should be able to do something, if not her, then Farengar would know. Maybe even Arcadia would know,” Lydia answered with a shrug. It made her sick thinking about it, but for her Thane she kept her opinion to herself. She could also understand why her Thane would take that option. It wasn’t like her life was the safest and soon she would be fighting Alduin. There was a good chance her Thane wouldn’t come back from that. Her Thane had so much to do, and then this new problem came up. She looked at her Thane and felt sympathy for the small Breton.
“Tomorrow I’ll make my decision, today I going to rest. Make sure I am not disturbed,” Melina ordered as she lay back on her bed.
Lydia left the room with a sad smile. Her shoulders slumped when she heard the first sob as she descended the stairs. Her heart throbbed when she heard the pain, confusion in those sobs. She didn't go upstairs to comfort her Thane, she knew the woman wouldn't want that.
Re: In My Time of Need Ch 2a/?
(Anonymous) 2013-04-06 04:19 pm (UTC)(link)She knew what she was going to do. It may not be the best decision, but it was the smartest one. If she would have become pregnant in a year or so, then she wouldn’t have cared. But now, with Alduin still flying around and her having to confront the over grown lizard in the near future, it wasn't a smart idea to bring a child in the world.
Lydia had suggested Arcadia, but the woman was a romantic and she wasn’t sure if she would keep silent. Danica, she wasn’t sure about. The woman was a healer, and being asked to take a life might be going against her beliefs. Melina wasn’t going to find out, just to be safe. Her last option was Farengar.
She knew the wizard wouldn’t tell anyone, but she knew he would definitely give his opinion. “Lydia I’m heading up the castle,” Melina announced as she bounded down the stairs, feeling a lot lighter than yesterday.
“Are you telling…”
“Yes, I’m going to talk to Farengar,” Melina cut her off before she could ask the one question she wasn’t ready to answer.
~ooooooooooo~
Farengar glanced up from his work with a scowl. There had been nothing but interruptions and it looked as if there was to be another. His mouth snapped closed on a snarky comment when he saw it was Melina.
“Farengar I need your help,” Melina told him without their usual pleasantries.
“Oh, and what kind of help do you need?” Farengar asked suspiciously.
“I need to know if there is a way to get rid of unwanted problems,” Melina blurted out and blushed slightly for being so forward. She glanced down at her stomach and gave the wizard a pointed look.
Farengar, for the first time found himself at a loss for words. He glanced outside his room and found the main hall empty. He was thankful for that. “Melina, there is no safe way to do what you asking for. Any potions could have severe consequences, and I have never heard of a spell that would fix your problem,” Farengar told her quietly.
Melina sighed, “Then it looks like my life just turned a lot more complicated. Where is he?” She asked.
“Probably in his room,” Farengar answered with a smirk just before turning back to his work.
Without another word Melina walked towards the upper floor. The guards nodded to her cordially as she passed them. The guards on Balgruuf’s door opened it for her without a word. She shook her head, and wondered how many people here knew that she had slept with Balgruuf. It seemed like everyone if she was to go by the smirks.
She found Balgruuf sitting by the fire reading a book. “Anything interesting?” she asked as a way to announce herself.
“Melina; I am surprised to see you here. When did you get back into Whiterun?” Balgruuf asked, keeping any stray emotions hidden. The last time he showed any emotions, she had bolted the next morning long before he woke. It had pained him, but he should have expected it. Melina was the dragonborn and probably had many more admirers. Being Jarl wasn’t easy and was stressful, especially with the war going on. He knew Melina had a lot more stress and didn’t need more.
“I got in yesterday. I had to cut the mission short,” she muttered.
Balgruuf could see something was really bothering her as she stood there fidgeting. He tried to catch her eyes, but they were focused on the ground now.
“What brings you here?” he asked, hoping against hope that she was here for him. That she missed him as much as he missed her.
He sat there calmly waiting for her to reply, watching her pace his room. He could see it was something big bothering her, but didn’t have a clue what. He wondered if she was about to tell him that this was the last time he was going to see her and leave. He hoped not.
He flashed back to the night they had a few months ago. He had wanted more nights, but she had avoided him. That night he had asked her to marry him in the heat of passion. It had been his worst mistake. For a bit he thought she would come around, but as the weeks passed he knew that wasn’t true.
Re: In My Time of Need Ch 2b/?
(Anonymous) 2013-04-06 04:30 pm (UTC)(link)She glanced at Balgruuf, there was nothing there to help her. His eyes showed curiosity, but his body language was closed off. She wondered if she was doing the right thing. Her mother had always told her that the father should always know. It should never be hidden, now she wasn’t sure.
Her stomach turned once more and she swallowed quickly, but not quick enough. She grimaced when her mouth filled. She didn’t know what to do…
She jumped in surprised as her hair was moved off to the side and an empty chamber pot placed in her hands. Her breakfast, and the sweetroll she had on the way up here left her. Her stomach didn’t feel as queasy, but she was still a nervous wreck.
“How far along are you?” Balgruuf asked, trying to hide his hope.
“How long ago were we together?” Melina asked softly. She waited for the anger, the disbelief, but what she hadn’t expected was strong secure arms to wrap around her and hold her tightly. It wasn’t a warning, or threat, it was comfort. Her eyes burned as she sank into those comforting arms.
She would not cry. There was no way in hell she was going to cry… Too late, the first tear trickled down her cheek. The bearer of those arms held her more firmly, his scent surrounding her, comforting her. No words were said, she didn’t want words right now.
“Now are you going to marry me?” Balgruuf asked quietly.
Melina scowled, she was enjoying herself and then he had to ask that. “No. I am not marrying because of a child. If I do marry it will because of love, not because I have to,” Melina bit out sharply.
Balgruuf stayed quiet, but silently he started planning. He knew Melina cared for him, and he didn’t delude himself into thinking that she loved him. But that wasn’t going to stop his plan, he would win her over.
Instead, he held her tight to him and gave her the comfort her shaking body needed.
~ooooooooooooo~
This story will be split up in parts. I hope dear readers are enjoying this, let me know what you think. Very nervous writer.

(Anonymous) 2013-04-06 09:22 pm (UTC)(link)Melina walked into her house, she avoided Lydia’s curious eyes and ignored the smile growing on her housecarl’s face. “The messenger stopped by while you were telling the Jarl he was going to be father. You have three requests waiting for you.” Lydia told her with a sly grin.
Melina narrowed her eyes at the other woman, who was grinning unrepentantly. “Any near here?” she asked, swallowing her irrational anger.
“All of them. Two are to clear out caves and obtain missing articles they lost and the other is to clear out a ruin,” Lydia told her as she handed over the missives. Her eyes narrowed as she noticed that her Thane’s cheeks were redder than usual. It look almost like a whisker burn. If she was to guess that was exactly it.
“I take it the Jarl took the news well?” Lydia asked with a smirk.
“Better than I thought,” Melina answered absently as she read over the missives.
“So what happens now?” Lydia persisted.
“I carry the kid and pop it out in about six months or so,” Melina shrugged as she grabbed some potions from the cupboard.
“What about the Jarl?” Lydia asked, rolling her eyes as she plopped herself down on one of the chairs.
“What about him?” Melina asked, turning a curious look to Lydia.
“Well is he going to claim the babe?”
“Lydia it’s not property to be claimed. He’ll do what he wants and what that is, I don’t have a clue right now,” Melina answered tiredly, she squirmed slightly as she remembered the marriage proposal. She was right to say no, she didn’t have those emotions for the Jarl. It would have made things too awkward, but now wasn’t the time to dwell on it. She needed to focus on the upcoming missions, then she had to go after that damn elder scroll.
“Should I let the Jarl know you won’t be around?” Lydia asked with a sly grin.
“Lydia you’re pushing it,” Melina answered with a shake of her head. Without another word she headed out the door. Lydia watched her go with worry that she hadn’t taken anyone with her. She was surprised she didn’t send a missive to Argis, so he could meet her.
~oooooooooooooo~
Lydia sat down, trying to relax, but she knew that would be futile. So far she had dispatched two assassins, three thieves and answered many knocks on the door. She knew as soon as her rear touched the seat there would be another knock on the door.
She glared balefully at the door when the knocking started. She knew it, she should have never sat down. With a scowl she threw open the door about to give the person a piece of her mind. Her words stopped dead as her Jarl stood there with a package in his hands.
“Is Melina here?” Balgruuf asked with amusement when he saw the look on Lydia’s face.
“No, she’s gone out to do a few missions and then she had to obtain an Elder scroll,” Lydia told him. She took a step back as his face darken to a scowl, anger glow bright in his light blue eyes.
She was very nervous.
“She went out while she’s…” Balgruuf trailed off not sure if the housecarl knew of her Thane’s predicament.
“She left a few days ago, and probably won’t be back for a few more weeks,” Lydia answered hastily, hoping her Jarl’s anger doesn’t turn to her.
Balgruuf didn’t say a word as he passed the package to Lydia and stormed away. He was worried, very worried. Melina was with child and still doing dangerous things. He knew she was the dragonborn and she needed to do these things, but just the thought of her in danger fear spread through him.
Re: In My Time of Need Ch 3b/?
(Anonymous) 2013-04-06 09:24 pm (UTC)(link)Proventus had suggested he marry her and soon, before it became common knowledge that he got the dragonborn with child. If he was anyone else, other than a Jarl, not many would complain, but since he was the Jarl, most would frown down upon him that he did nothing. So now he wasn’t sure what to do. She had turned him down, but that didn’t stop him from wishing they would marry, not because they had to, but it was what he wanted.
He had never met a woman like Melina, fierce, protective, loyal, and forthright. When he had first seen her, she had caught his attention. She had walked into his throne room wearing an unfitted mages robe that hung off of her. Her long black hair was caked in filth and blood. She sported a few bruises and cuts, she had a slight limp, but even with all this she had fire in her crystal green eyes. When she stood before him, not once did she bow or show the respect his title warranted. Instead she looked him in the eye with a penetrating gaze that he was sure could see through his guise as a Jarl, to the man beneath.
Then she spoke and he had been entranced, her voice had been clear, bold, but soft as velvet. Her words had been firm and ringing with truth; whereas most would have been quivering from what she experienced.
She had surprised him when he found out that she had retrieved the dragon stone before coming to give him the message. Most would have sold it, and there were many out there that would pay good money. Instead she passed over the stone without quam and took her leave.
Everyday after that he saw her as she spoke with Farengar. He smiled when he found out she had talked his court wizard into training her. His court wizard never taught anyone.
Then came that fateful day when she found out she was dragonborn. It had shocked him and her, but he had nothing but pride for her. She deserved the title more than anyone. At first he had not understood what it actually meant to be dragonborn. Not until that day when he found her on the balcony of Dragonsreach staring up at the sky.
He smiled softly as he thought of that night. She hadn’t even noticed him as she watched the skies. That was what he thought she was doing, but later found out she was hiding. Her words were, 'no one would be stupid enough to search me out for a mission there.' He had laughed, for the first time in a long while and it had felt good.
For a few hours they had talked, not as Jarl to his Thane, but as two people without titles or responsibilities. Then one thing led to another, he found her in his arms, his mouth plundered hers, tasting her sweetness. Then there on that balcony they made love, with only the stars to see them.
And now he had something new to smile about. Maybe this time he could have family, have a wife to be there for him. To have someone to love ‘him’ for him, and not for his title. She had already brought his son and him closer since she found that hidden sword. Him and his kids were closer now, instead of the distance that had once been there.
With all these contented memories, there was one large worry that overshadowed them. Melina was out there somewhere making Skyrim safe, but he hoped it wasn’t at a too high of a price.
~ooooooooooooo~
Lydia opened the door alert to danger when she heard the knock early morning. She was surprise anyone would be knocking at this time in the morning, the sky had barely lightened, it was still dark out mostly. She was doubly surprise to see the Jarl standing there looking awkward. “Give this to Melina when she returns, for her eyes only,” the Jarl ordered before walking away.
Lydia was so tempted to open the package but decided not to. She would have to wait till Melina returned and she planned to be right there when she opened it.
Hope everyone is enjoying this so far. Let me know what you think, still nervous about this story.

(Anonymous) 2013-04-07 05:00 am (UTC)(link)Melina walked into her house sore and tired. Grabbing the Elder scroll alone hadn’t been the brightest ideas. She was regretting it now, every muscle screamed at her, the cut on her leg burned. The stab wound in her arm, she really didn’t want to think about. So her plan now was to stay home for a bit and then head to the throat of the world.
“My Thane, you’re home earlier than expected,” Lydia said with a huge grin. Her grin faded as she notice her Thane’s limp and the crusted blood on her arm. “My Thane?” Lydia murmured worriedly ushering her to a chair. “I’ll get a healer.”
“And find some sweetrolls while you are out,” Melina called after her. She couldn't get enough of them lately. It was something new for her, usually she could go months without them, but now, she was lucky to last a day.
“Jarl Balgruuf left you some, you’ll find them in your room with all the other stuff,” Lydia called back with a sly grin. She was so tempted to run back in the house and look over her Thane’s shoulder to see what the Jarl had kept dropping off. She chuckled as she rushed to the temple, praying her Thane didn’t move from her spot before she got back there. She wanted to see her Thane’s expression when she saw the mound of packages waiting for her on her bed.
For two weeks the Jarl never missed a day to drop something off for her. Usually it was packages, but the last one had been sweetrolls. She had been tempted to take one of them, but didn’t.
Her grin slipped when she saw the Jarl walking down the path. She knew there was no way to avoid him, he had already spotted her. “Is she back yet?” Balgruuf asked impatiently.
“She just returned,” she answered, and debated whether to inform him that Melina was injured. With a sigh she opened her mouth to inform the Jarl, but snapped closed as she watched his retreating back rushing towards Breezehome. She shook her head and wasn’t as enthused to head back to the house so quickly as she had planned.
Re: In My Time of Need Ch 4b/?
(Anonymous) 2013-04-07 05:03 am (UTC)(link)He thought about carrying her upstairs, and putting her in the tub. Instead he watched as her eyes fluttered open
slowly, “Balgruuf? What are you doing here?” Melina slurred tiredly, but he could hear pain laced in that voice. It worried him, now he wondered how much blood she wore was her own.
“Melina, where are you injured?” Balgruuf asked urgently.
“Better question is 'where am I not sore',” she answered with a watered down grin. “Don’t worry, Lydia is fetching a healer.”
“The healer would have an easier time healing you if you were in bed,” Balgruuf muttered with a scowl. He glared down at her and without a word scooped her up into his arms. He nearly groaned when he had her in his arms. Their night together came rushing back to him... him pinning her to the wall, his hands gripping her hips as he drove himself into her warm depths. He shivered as he remembered how her inner walls clenched around him, her pleas filling his ears, and then his name on her lips as she found her release.
He groaned, there was no way to stop it. He buried his nose in her hair as he walked up the stairs. Beneath the sweat and blood he could still smell her, the vanilla scent he longed for each night.
“Balgruuf, put me down, I can walk on my own,” Melina grumbled as she glared at him. She had noticed his eyes darkening, with the same look he had that night. That was one thing she wasn’t up to now. She hoped he didn’t start anything.
“Tough,” Balgruuf stated as he walked in her room and saw the pile of packages he had dropped off. He cringed and blushed slightly, ‘might have over done it a bit,’ he silently chastised himself.
He placed her on her feet and moved to the bed quickly clearing it off. He placed the packages on her chest and blushed further at her curious look. “I would suggest you lay down before you pass out,” he muttered as he saw her pale.
Melina scowled at him and laid on the bed. She watched Balgruuf wondering why he was here. Her eyelids were heavy and it was becoming harder to focus on him. Doing Blackreach had been a stupid idea on her part and at the moment she regretted not taking anyone with her. She wondered what Balgruuf will say when he found out she soloed such a dangerous ruin. She could just imagine the shouting match that would happen.
~ooooooooooooooo~
Lydia walked into the house, with Danica following closely behind. She hesitated when she didn’t see Melina in the chair where she left her. She listened intently praying she didn’t just walk into the house while her Thane was occupied. That was the last thing she needed to hear.
She walked up the stair and moved off to the side so Danica could walk by her. She smirked with amusement when the healer hesitated as she saw Balgruuf here of all places.
Lydia walked into the room, taking a seat on one of the chairs. Her eyes widened as Balgruuf took a seat on the bed, opposite of where Danica was working. Her eyes almost bulged when Balgruuf took Melina’s hand without her protesting. Her grin widened when Danica’s magic stuttered in her shock. She knew by morning all of Whiterun will know of this.
Her first thought was to protect her thane and her reputation, but to do that she would have to wipe out of all Whiterun. She couldn’t do it. Instead she watched the cuts and bruise heal, and color returned to her Thane’s face.
“Lydia, run a bath for Melina,” Balgruuf ordered.
Lydia left the room quickly and lugged the bathtub up the stairs. She rushed back downstairs and got the water. She wondered if she should have heated it first or left it for Melina to heat like she usually did.

(Anonymous) 2013-04-07 08:03 pm (UTC)(link)Melina stood there her mouth gaping open when Lydia gave her the message. “Are you sure that is what he said?” Melina asked incredulously.
“Yes my Thane, he said ‘no’” Lydia answered with amusement.
“What do you mean he said ‘no’” Melina shouted in her frustration. She just gave the man what he wanted and he had the gull to say no. She couldn’t believe it. Her frustration and anger built, she could feel a shout building.
Lydia saw her Thane’s green eyes change to an amber color and quickly move out of the way. She smirked in amusement, she wasn’t positive what the missives meant, but it seemed her Thane wasn’t taking the news well.
She grimaced as her ears rang when her Thane shouted ‘fus’ and the front door slammed open. Lydia shook her head as she watched Melina storm outside. Quickly she followed behind and noticed quite a few people whispering to themselves. She hoped that Melina didn’t notice, that was all they needed was something else to attracted her attention.
Lydia’s eyes narrowed as she watched a few people rush about whispering. She noticed that word was heading to the castle. She was glad for that, at least the Jarl would have warning that a pissed off dragonborn was heading his way. She wasn’t sure whether to laugh at this whole situation or scowl because the towns people were so involved in her Thane’s personal life.
Balgruuf sat on his throne listening to the guard that came running up to his housecarl. It seemed Melina didn’t like his answer he thought with amusement.
“Jarl Balgruuf…”
“I heard, Irileth,” Balgruuf answered with amusement. “I’ll be in my quarters waiting for Melina.”
Irileth watched Balgruuf walk away and turned to Proventus, with a smirk she held out her hand. Proventus shook his head and handed over a sack of coins. “I’ll win the next bet.” He muttered, leaving the housecarl to attend to the gossipers.
~ooooooooooo~
Melina didn’t greet anyone as she stormed into the Dragonsreach. She didn’t see Balgruuf on his throne so she marched up the stairs to his person rooms. She found him sitting in a chair, in his usual relax pose, but she could tell that he wasn’t relaxed. She scowled at the amusement she saw on his face, she didn’t find this amusing at all.
“What do you mean no?” she snapped, glaring at him.
“Melina what did you say not long ago? You won’t marry unless you loved the person. Can you say you love me?” Balgruuf asked with a shrewd look.
Melina snapped her mouth shut. She wasn’t about to lie to him, he deserved better than that. “And what about your reputation?” she asked quietly, her ire vanishing quickly.
Balgruuf smirked, he wondered if she knew about the betting pools going on. At the inn there was three, here in his castle there was one going on between his housecarl and steward. He wouldn’t doubt if the guards were involved as well. He turned a blind eye to it, he could order them to stop if he wished, but what would be the point, they would only do it in secret. This way he could keep tabs on what was going on. “At the moment it doesn’t matter,” Balgruuf answered with a slight smile.
Melina stayed quiet thinking about what he said. She didn’t see how it didn’t matter, but she wasn’t going to question it right now. “I should go,” she muttered nervously.
Balgruuf raised a brow, curious as to why she was nervous. He decided to test something and see if he was right. He rose to his feet and hid his triumphant grin as she followed his every move. He watched as her eyes rove over his body and heated up. He allowed a small curving of the lips as her eyes slowly turned amber in color. He moved towards her, and stopped just before touching her.
Balgruuf felt his blood heat up as she devoured him with her eyes. He reached out trailing a light finger down her cheek, “when you are ready we will marry,” Balgruuf murmured as he cupped her cheek in his hand. Pleasure shot through him as she nuzzled his hand and lightly kissed it. ‘For someone who didn’t love him she didn’t act like it,’ he thought to himself.
Re: In My Time of Need Ch 5b/?
(Anonymous) 2013-04-07 08:06 pm (UTC)(link)Balgruuf groaned as her tongue tasted him, enticing him further.
He broke the kiss to breathe, her face was flushed with passion, her eyes a dark amber. He didn’t ask permission, it was already in her eyes. He sat on the bed with her straddling his lap, his hands gliding over her tone body annoyed that clothes were impeding the feel of her. He moaned softly as she nipped the sensitive skin of his neck.
He wanted to take his time, but he knew he wouldn’t be able to. Not after many nights of sleeplessness because of her. Each night he would dream of her, how she writher for him as he brought her pleasure.
He undid the ties to her shirt, baring her for his eyes to feast on. His mouth watered as he gazed at the peaks of her mounds, already hard and erect awaiting his mouth to taste them. He lapped at one, rolling his tongue around it, while his hand plucked at the other. Her groan of pleasure shot through him, his shaft throbbing to be released.
He was about to switch to the other, but she grinded against his throbbing shaft and he threw his head back in pleasure, a lusty groan leaving him. He gripped her tighter and laid her back on the bed. He met her mouth with his own, bruising her lips as he deepened the kiss. With a shudder of pleasure he tasted ever inch of bare skin he could find, stopping at the belt of her pants.
“By the nine don’t stop,” Melina pleaded.
“Don’t plan on it,” Balgruuf said softly, his voice husky with pent up desire.
He slid the belt loose and slipped his hand down her now loosened pants, surprised to find she wasn’t wearing a loincloth. He hissed out a breath when he felt her moist heat against his fingers. He slipped his fingers through her folds and found her wet and swollen. His control was snapping quickly, he yanked her pants off in one swift move.
He leaned down between her legs, taking in her musky scent, it was heady, clouding his mind. He nearly purred as he tasted her, his hands gripping her hips to keep her still. He watched as her reactions as he probed her depths with his tongue, as he licked her pearl. He could see she was close, her body arching off the bed, one hand gripping the furs on his bed while the other was laced through his hair.
Her thu'um was music to ear as she found her release. He lapped up the juices, moaning in pleasure at her taste. Lightly he kissed each thigh affectionately, slowly working his way to her slightly rounded belly. He kissed it lightly, “mine,” he whispered and met her eyes. He moved up along her body, positioning himself and with one smooth powerful thrust, he hilted himself deep within her. He watched her face carefully waiting for her to adjust at the intrusion.
He smoothed back her hair, lightly kissing her lips before moving slowly. He enjoyed watching her eyes dilate, her gasping breaths as she met him thrust for thrust. “Gods, hard,” she whispered breathlessly.
“No, its not safe,” he gasped out, fighting his body not to spill, he worried about harming the babe within her.
“Balgruuf,” she groaned desperately, her voice deepening with the beginning of a thu'um. He heard it and rolled quickly, placing her on top. He groaned loudly as she impaled herself on him roughly, her hands fondled her breasts as she moved like a goddess. He couldn’t hold out much more he knew.

(Anonymous) 2013-04-07 08:07 pm (UTC)(link)Melina collapsed on top of her, head resting against his chest as their heart rates slowed. He rubbed her back soothingly, “Yes,” he whispered to the top of her head.
“When?” she asked with a grin, her eyes shining bright. ‘And she says she doesn’t love me’ he thought with amusement, he could see the emotion in her eyes right now.
“I’ll have a message sent to Maramal in Riften, once he arrives we can have the wedding,” Balgruuf answered with a smile as he held her close.
Thank you everyone who has left comments. This is the end of part one. Part 2 will be up shortly.

(Anonymous) 2013-04-08 04:16 am (UTC)(link)Melina stirred slowly, the bright sunlight filtering in through the windows. She glanced around and didn’t see her husband anywhere. She glanced out the widow and judged it to be around noon, maybe later. A scowl lit her face. For the past month she had been sleeping more, her moods more irrational. She hated it.
“What’s the scowl for?” Balgruuf asked with amusement.
Melina jumped, not expecting to see him in the room. “Nothing important, just slept later than I intended. I was planning on heading to the Throat of the World today,” she answered.
“There still lots of time, its not as late as you expect,” he told her while passing her a sweetroll. He watched her fondly as she devoured it. “Are you sure its safe for you to continue the hunt for Alduin, or should you wait until you’ve had the babe?” Balgruuf asked quietly.
“No, this needs to be finished. The dragons have been more persistent of late and they need to be stopped, the only to do that is to stop Alduin,” She muttered tiredly. She would love to stay here and leave the dragon problem until she didn’t have this babe inside of her, but she couldn’t and they both knew it.
“I’ll have someone send for Lydia,” he told her.
“Thank you,” she murmured to his retreating back. She smiled as she went to her new trunk, the packages that Balgruuf had left for her filled it; new armor for one in her state, many health potions, and a few other items that would help her greatly in her travels. She chuckled as she thought of how Lydia had been hovering over her shoulder the whole time she opened them.
She put on her new armor, scowling more to see that the straps need to be enlarged more. At six months pregnant she was really showing and Balgruuf seemed to enjoy the changes in her body.
For three months now she been doing smaller missions, avoiding Paarthurnax and using the elderscroll. But she knew she couldn’t anymore. She glanced around making sure she hadn’t forgotten anything and headed to the door strapping her mace to her side. It was time.

(Anonymous) 2013-04-08 04:18 am (UTC)(link)“Lydia, I’m not that badly injured, its just a few burns,” Melina muttered.
“And to top it all off, we now have to ask him to allow you to trap a dragon at the keep. This day is getting worse by the moment. While you talk to him, I am going to be far away.”
“Lydia, it won’t be that bad,” Melina smiled at the woman’s complaining.
“Not that bad? You’re six months pregnant, just fought Alduin, now you want to ask your very protective husband to allow you to capture a dragon at his castle using yourself as bate? Yeah I wonder how he’s not going to have a problem with that,” Lydia grumbled with a scowl.
“Well when you put it that way…” Melina trailed off with a sigh. She admitted it, it did sound bad and Balgruuf was going to freak. She could already hear the argument.
She slowed her pace as she climbed the steps to the castle, and tried to figure out a way to explain everything without worrying Balgruuf. She walked into the castle and no grand ideas came to her. She knew this was going to be a very interesting conversation, probably a very short one too.
“Do I even want to ask what you did this time?” Balgruuf asked with a pained look. He took in all the damage and was very glad it was only minor, looking worse than it really was. Her armor was singed, Her once long hair was now only to her shoulder, singed in many places, she had a few scrapes and bruises, but he was used to seeing that.
“No you don’t, but you’re going to need to know as it is,” Melina muttered with a faint blush.
Balgruuf closed his eyes and prayed to the nines. He knew that look and knew that he wasn’t going to like what his wife was about to ask. “What happened?” he asked with a groan.
“Uh, can we skip the ‘what happened' and move onto the I need to capture a dragon here?” she asked with an impish smile.
Balgruuf stared at her, unsure he heard her right. He was positive his wife didn’t just ask him to capture a dragon in his keep. The longer he stared at her, he knew that was exactly what she just asked. He had to admit, being married to the dragonborn was not boring to say the least.
“You want to what?” He asked slowly.
“Capture a dragon here. Alduin went into hiding after I fought in on the Throat of the World. I need to capture a dragon and get information out of him,” Melina explained and waited for her husband’s temper. It wasn’t as bad as Irileth and Proventus makes it out to be.
“Melina, there is a war going on. I can’t put my city at risk when either side is looking for a weakness,” Balgruuf answered.
“I know and that is why I think we should hold a peace conference at High Hrothgar. The Greybears are natural and their place is well respected. I’ve already talked to them and they’ve allowed it. General Tullius and Jarl Ulfric have agreed and both are heading there. All we need is you,” she explained to him and waited patiently for his answer.
“We’ll leave in the morning,” Balgruuf answered. “Irileth, have guards ready for the morning, Proventus you’ll be taking care of things while I am gone.”

(Anonymous) 2013-04-08 04:19 am (UTC)(link)What should have been a week round trip was taking well over that – five days there and five back. It seems her husband was making sure she got the rest she needed. Right now they were sitting around the fire as she dozed.
Balgruuf pulled her closer, keeping the chill from the cold night off her. He smiled gently as she snuggled closer to him. He glanced at the tent that had already been put up for them. He still didn’t like the idea of her going to fight some over grown lizard six months pregnant, but he knew there was no choice.
Things around Skyrim had become worse with the dragons. Whiterun had been under attack a few times now, the smaller villages had lost many due to dragons.
He rose to his feet, taking his sleeping wife with him. Silence decended, making sure no one woke her. He chuckled, most of his staff found out very quickly not to wake the dragonborn. They kept a large bucket of water in their bedroom and there was more water in waiting at all times. His wife had a tendency to shout in passion or anger. He was still amazed that Breezehome was still standing, from what he seen it should have been burnt to the ground a while back.
~oooooooooooo~
Melina curled up to the warmth by her side and groaned when the babe kicked. Callused hands gently rubbed her stomach, calming the babe. “I know who’s getting the night shift,” Melina said with a smile.
“If it means my castle stands for a while longer and not burn to the ground, I will gladly take the night shift,” Balgruuf murmured with a chuckle. “We need to get up, everything is packed, but this tent.”
“Hmm, don’t want to move,” Melina grumbled as she curled more securely into his warmth.
Balgruuf shook his head in amusement as he watched his wife. With a grin he decided to wake his wife up proper.

(Anonymous) 2013-04-08 04:21 am (UTC)(link)“Problem guard?” Irithel asked, just coming back from her patrol. She had heard the guards words and wondered about them. It wasn’t usual for them to complain and she didn’t notice anything out of the ordinary other than the Melina and Balgruuf hadn’t woken yet.
She rethought that and blushed when a lusty moan rented the air.
She glanced at the guards and saw amusement and embarrassment. She didn’t blame them one bit. “I think we should reinforce the tent tomorrow night,” the guard told her motioning towards the tent.
Irileth blushed harder and turned her back on the other guards. She shook her head, “My Jarl we should head out,” she announced as if she didn’t know what was going on in the tent. She thought for sure when Melina was showing as she is now their sexual escapades would calm down, but they hadn’t. All guards knew there was to be no more patrolling the balcony at night. Plus everyone had to give warning before entering the Jarl’s chambers. A few chamber maids had already quit when they had witnessed these two.
She wasn’t sure if what she heard was an answer, or something else she didn’t want to know. She waited patiently, and watched as the sun rose higher in the sky. Her patients were wearing thin, it becoming close to noon and they still hadn’t exited the tent.
“My Jarl, the day is wasting we really should leave,” Irileth muttered.
“Don’t bother, they can be at this for hours,” Lydia muttered. She blushed as she met the other housecarls raised brow. “Remember he visited Melina many nights before the wedding?”
“Then what do you suggest?” Irileth bit out.
“Dragon!” Lydia shouted with a grin. She knew it would work for her Thane. It worked every time. She heard her Thane moving quickly around in the tent. The next moment she was out of the tent, dressed in regular clothes and magic lighting her hand, ready for a fight.
Melina glanced around searching for the dragon. She saw clear skies, but no dragon. She scowled at Lydia. “Mind explaining why there isn’t a dragon?” she asked lethally.
“My Thane, we need to leave, it already past noon. Once we camp tonight then…” Lydia trailed off with a pointed look.
Melina scowled at her housecarl and then shrugged. She went back into the tent, Lydia thought for sure that they weren’t leaving but they heard muttered voices. A few minutes later they were packing up the tent and ready to leave.
~oooooooooooo~
Melina sighed happily now that they were home. Tomorrow she would call the dragon, but today she was able to rest and enjoy being alone with Balgruuf. There was no court today, they wanted to spend the time to their selves.
She smiled as she watched Balgruuf with his other kids. They were playing tag, running around the balcony. She couldn’t wait for this child to make it in the world. Danica had checked on her many times since she was still doing battle. Each time she was told that the babe was healthy and everything was going smoothly. She was glad she didn’t have to worry about the babe and she could turn all her focus on the dragons.
Re: In My Time of Need Ch 7/?
(Anonymous) 2013-04-09 12:52 pm (UTC)(link)Melina curled up to her husband’s warmth, in a few hours she would call the dragon. Balgruuf had loved her for most of the night, not yet ready to let her go on this dangerous mission. She wasn’t glad he didn’t put up too much of a fight.
She smiled as the babe stirred, kicking Balgruuf’s back in the process. She looked out the window and watched day finally roll in.
As quietly as she could she left the bed and started getting dress. “Where do you think you’re going?” Balgruuf asked with a drowsy smile, his eyes leisurely roved over her naked body as she stood beside the bed. He would love to throw her back on the bed and keep her there, but he knew he couldn’t. The determined look in her eyes, told him it was time.
“Are you sure you don’t want to wait until the babe is born?” Balgruuf asked quietly. He tried to mask his worry, but knew he hadn’t succeeded.
“I’m sure,” Melina answered, giving him a reassuring kiss, hoping to ease the tension. Balgruuf sighed and nodded slowly.
“Then, I’ll meet you on the Balcony,” He murmured and watched her leave their room.
~ooooooooooooooo~
Balgruuf cringed as the dragon landed. He stood out of the way, and watched Melina use her gifts. He smiled proudly as she lured the dragon into the trap.
“Drem, yol, lok, Odahviing,” he heard Melina murmured and raised a brow. He noticed the bewilder looks on Farengar and Irileth’s face. He knew as soon as she returned, Farengar would be questioning her to no end. He hadn’t told them that she could speak the dragon tongue.
Everyone listened to the conversation, and looked bewilder. There was more draconic than common. His eyes narrowed as Farengar moved behind the dragon. “Farengar, I wouldn’t if I were you,” Melina stated and shook her head when the wizard didn’t listen.
When the stream of fire left the dragon’s mouth his first thought was, ‘he was going to kill his court wizard’. Because of him Melina almost got burned. His eyes snapped to his wife, searching to see if she was safe. He scowled when she started chuckling in amusement as she watched Farengar’s retreating back.
Melina took a fortifying breath as she walked over to Balgruuf. Lightly she cupped his cheek, knowing this might be the last time she saw him. She raised on her toes, and kissed him with all the emotion she felt. She met his eyes with her own, “I love you,” she murmured with a sad look.
Balgruuf pulled her close, lifting her off of her feet and devoured her mouth. Finally she had said the three words he had so wanted to hear, but he wished she had said them before. “I love you too,” he whispered against her lips.
“I have to go. If I am not back in a month…” she said softly with a sad smile. Balgruuf crushed her against him and let out a shuddering sigh when he felt the babe move. He had to let her go, he knew this, but he was so scared of her not coming back.
With years of experience of being a Jarl he swallowed his emotions and hid them deep. He set her on her feet and watched her jump onto the back of a dragon and fly away. His heart throbbed, his eyes burned as he watched this. He prayed to the gods that this wasn’t their last time seeing each other.

Re: In My Time of Need Ch 8a/?
(Anonymous) 2013-04-10 04:51 pm (UTC)(link)The first week past slowly, Balgruuf fought to keep focused on his duties to the city. The second week, was worse, he was slowly going insane. The third week, he made the decision, he wasn’t waiting around any longer. With four guards, his housecarl they left for High Hrothgar.
The trip felt longer then when he was with Melina. He was praying that she was alive since he had heard no word from her. He remembered her words, but wouldn’t give up until he saw her for himself, whether she was dead or alive.
He stared up the flight of stairs and shook his head. Usually this was a peaceful treck, but his mind couldn’t focus, he couldn’t shake the feeling that there was something wrong.
He sighed in relief when he saw the old large stone structure, but another problem came to him. No one other than the dragonborn had ever been welcome. The only time he had entered was when they had the peace talks.
He walked up to the large doors, and entered. He hoped the Greybeards had answers. He saw one of them kneeling on the floor praying, another stood staring at a wall. He walked up to one of them. “Where is the dragonborn?” he asked. He didn’t know what to expect, but it hadn’t been the hard stare he was receiving. He stood firm before that stare and waited for an answer. His anger built when the man wasn't forth coming with an answer.
He thought about reprimanding the man, but a motion of his hand forestalled any biting words he may have. Balgruuf followed him further into the old building. They stopped before a door and Balgruuf’s stomach churned in worry.
Without another word the Greybeard left him alone to stare at the door. Slowly he opened the door, the room was small, just large enough for a single bed and a dresser. His breath caught as he looked at the figure sleeping on the bed. Melina… she was pale, and sported many wounds that were almost healed.
He walked over to the bed as if in a trance. Without thought he lifted his sleeping wife and held her close to his chest. “Hmm, Balgruuf?” The slurred question came out. It was music to his ears.
“Thank the gods you’re safe,” he whispered and took her mouth in a harsh kiss. All his fears, frustrations, and worries were put into that kiss. He held her tightly, not wanting to let her go, not ever again.
“In a few days I should be able to move about, but for now I’m bedridden,” she muttered when he broke the kiss, gently cupping his cheek, trying to sooth her husband. Damn she had missed him, when she killed Alduin her first thought was to get back to him quickly, but her injures said differently. She didn’t want to tell him that she almost lost their babe, she didn’t want to tell him that she felt different. All these things she was going to keep to herself, so she didn’t worry her husband.
“What happened?” Balgruuf asked quietly as he held her. He awaited an answer, stroked her short hair soothingly.
“I was in Sovengre, met all the old heroes and with their help I defeated Alduin,” she answered enjoying Balgruuf’s closeness. “One of his bites got me, I thought for sure I wouldn’t be leaving there. But with Paarthurnax’s help I made it here and the Greybeards have been carrying for me.”
“How’s the babe?” he asked, lightly touching the mound. He smiled as the babe moved beneath his hand.
“As you can feel, he’s doing good,” she murmured and sighed tiredly. What energy she had quickly disappeared. Slowly her eyes fluttered close, she felt the bed move and her being shifted. She sighed contentedly as Balgruuf’s warmth surrounded her.
Re: In My Time of Need Ch 8b/?
(Anonymous) 2013-04-10 04:52 pm (UTC)(link)It took them two weeks to return to Whiterun. She smiled as people cheered when she entered Whiterun. Word had already spread that she defeated Alduin. Her destiny was finished and now she could rest.
She was surprised at the welcome. A part of her enjoyed the attention, that people were grateful she saved them, but another part regretted doing what she had to do. After absorbing Aldiun soul she felt different. Her looked up in the sky and saw a red dragon flying around. She smiled slightly and sighed wistfully. Odahviing had been right she envied the dragons and their ability to fly.
~oooooooooooooo~
The weeks passed by and her strength was regaining. Her spirits lifted more with each passing day. She didn’t go on anymore missions, but every day she would go out in the lands surrounding Whiterun. When she was cooped up she was irritable.
She grimaced as a the pains she been having all day intensify. Danica had warned her to expect this since she was so active. The warning Danica gave informed her there was a high chance that she would have the child earlier than expected.
With a annoyed sigh she headed back up to Dragonsreach. The guards at the door greeted her with a smile. She didn’t smile back, couldn’t at the moment. “Have someone go down to Danica, tell her it's time,” she muttered gripping her stomach as another pain took her. She had the amusement of watching one of the guards eyes widened and pale. She watched him run off for a moment before the door was opened for her.
She glanced at Balgruuf and saw he was holding court. She saw the scowl on his face and knew this wouldn’t be a good time to interrupt him.
Balgruuf watched her walk in and knew. He saw the grimace and how she was holding her stomach. Elation and worry filled him. He glanced at the man standing in front of him and scowled. It was another petition to allow him to expand his farmland, but Balgruuf knew the man couldn’t afford it. He was already barely getting by with paying his taxes.
He met Irileth eyes and nodded to her. Without another word he left his throne and followed his wife upstairs. He smiled as he watched her once confident gait turn into a slight waddle. He knew if he said a word about the change in her walk she would have his head.
“How close?” He asked as he led her to their bedchambers. The made was in there already setting up the bed with oiled skins.
“How the hell am I supposed to know?” his wife growled, her voice deepening with the beginnings of a thu’um. He worried at the sound of her voice, it had been happening more and more lately.
He decided to keep his silence instead of upsetting his wife more. He glanced behind him as their bedroom door opened. “Jarl Balgruuf, it’s time for you to leave,” Danica stated firmly as she moved further into the room.
Balgruuf scowled about to chastise her for ordering him to leave his own bedroom, but Melina’s low groaned stopped him. He turned to his wife to find her hunched over clutching her stomach. With a curt nod he walked out of the room and waited by the door.
Re: In My Time of Need Ch 8c/8c
(Anonymous) 2013-04-10 04:54 pm (UTC)(link)The door opened quickly, “I can’t do this alone…” Danica muttered with singed hair and a harried looked on her face. Balgruuf rushed in and straight to his wife’s side. A few maids followed closely with buckets of water. Balgruuf sat beside his wife, taking her hand in his.
The time flew by quickly for him as his wife birth the babe. The maids rushed around extinguishing the fires his wife caused. Danica stayed away until the babe started showing.
He met and held Melina’s amber eyes, they were hard, cold and distant. He didn’t like the look, but said nothing. With one more forceful thu’um he heard the squall of his child. He grinned as he beheld his daughter as it was placed on Melina’s stomach.
He reached out and lightly touched his daughter, and sighed happily as he squeezed Melina’s hand in support. He glanced at Danica as she neared, his eyes narrowed as fear entered the woman’s eyes. His gazed turned back to Melina, her eyes had turned deadly with a clear warning in them. He also noticed that they hadn’t turned back to the usual green.
“That will be all Danica,” he murmured not once taking his eyes off his wife. He smiled slightly when Melina gave him a grateful smile.
