Meme Announcements!
ANNOUNCEMENTS: UPDATED 12/16/2017
Happy Holidays, fellow Kinkmemers! I have returned and have no reasonable excuse for my absence except LIFE. I will be working on updating the archives. If anyone sees anything amiss, please let me know.
I am also hoping to find another Mod and an Archivist.
The more dedicated people we have in this Meme the less chance of it dying. I admit that being the sole keeper of the Meme is not great for the fandom. If something were to happen to me, for good, this place would go the way of the Fallout Kink Meme. Let's not let that happen! If anyone would be interested in Modding/Archiving, please drop me a line. Thanks! <3
Dawning - Part 7/?
(Anonymous) 2014-05-29 01:37 pm (UTC)(link)Aela held two letters in her hands and a small scroll. It was still hours before the sun would rise but she couldn’t wait. Her heart pounded in her chest each letter feeling heavy. She sat down on the edge of the bed and lit a candle so she could see. The sudden light roused Farkas and he mumbled something before sitting up.
“Aela?” he questioned, tender concern in his voice. He moved to look over her shoulder, sitting up a bit more when he saw the letters. “What do they say?” She shrugged and he placed a kiss on her exposed shoulder.
She opened one of the letters; her hands moved slow and trembled slightly. Farkas rubbed soothing patterns on her skin with his thumb as he read over her shoulder.
The first letter wasn’t exciting at all. Just some party invitation to some ball no Companion would want to be seen at. Yet the flowing neat handwriting had made Aela feel hopeful for a moment.
Aela looked to Farkas who inclined for her to open the next one. Aela didn’t even need to open it to notice what it was. The seal of the Companions marked the worn letter; it was the same letter she had sent out over a week ago.
“Farkas…” All the letters she sent to the Breton were coming back.
He continued planting kisses on her shoulder as she tried to regain her composure. He could hear the sadness seeping into her voice, “What’s this?”
He handed her the small scroll and she shrugged. “I’ve never gotten a letter like this.”
“I’ve seen something like this before, once when she sent a message by bird.” Aela’s eyes couldn’t help but light up as she stared at the paper in front of her.
“Do you think..?” Farkas shrugged, not many people had access to birds and that message had been sent by one. She unrolled the small paper and immediately frowned.
The message was short and the handwriting neat, but heavy. The writer had run out of space at the end of his paper.
Ariella, Come home soon, I miss you. –H
“H?” Farkas questioned, voice low. Aela frowned and shrugged. “Vilkas can never see this.” Aela nodded in agreement and then hid the message in a drawer.
“She never mentioned anybody whose name started with H before…” Aela said as Farkas pulled her back into bed. She blew out the light and curled into Farkas who was waiting with open arms. “Come to think of it, she never mentioned anyone from High Rock.”
Farkas tightened his arms around the Huntress who reach up gave him better access to the neck he had been trying to kiss. “We can’t jump to conclusions but Vilkas can’t know.”
“I’m not sure he’ll care.” Aela said, Farkas was running his hands along her sides.
“Of course he will.” Aela kissed Farkas, letting his strength squash her fears. A letter returned and a letter from High Rock all seemed to be pointing at one thing; Ariella was gone now.
