Everything was dark. His mouth tasted bitter and felt rough, and there was a slight sound at the edge of his hearing. His limbs felt heavy, and he felt as though a cave bear had taken up residence in his skull. Erikur tried to move his arms, but he realized they were bound behind his back, and that he was sitting on a rickety wooden chair.

"Sleep well?"

He jumped, as he recognized the throaty purr of the Bosmer from the Winking Skeever. The thane tried to swear, tried to demand his release, but his words became nothing but muffled sounds due to the gag in his mouth. The woman chuckled.

"I suppose I'm being rude, aren't I? Here, let me help you."

With that, the hood was ripped off of his head. For a brief moment the Nord recognized it as an execution hood, but all though fled his mind as he saw the rest of the room, and smelled it as well.

It stank of rot and decay, of bodies left unburied and untouched by scavengers, of the suffocated stench of too much blood. Dark smears stained the walls of the little wooden cabin, some splattered, some in the shape of handprints. There was little furniture save the chair he was tied to, an old wooden workbench, a chest, and two bookshelves loaded with alchemy ingredients. Everything was stained with the old, dried blood, including the hood that was being dangled in front of his face.

"Is that better?" As she spoke, the Bosmer walked from behind him, to lean easily against the side of the nearest bookshelf. Gone were the tavern clothes, the braid, the coy smile. Instead she wore the easy smirk of a predator (wolves and teeth came unbidden to Erikur's mind), her hair loose, and armor even stranger than what the Forsworn wore. It looked to be a tanned hide, with fur lining the inside and shoulders, decorated with fangs and small amounts of mail, and it was incredibly revealing. Mercury eyes watched lazily as he took it all in. "Enjoying the view? I suppose I should give the chance to speak, I've been a terrible host."

Erikur spat as the gag was pulled down around his neck, and his glare was icy.

"You're going to regret doing this, Daela." The elf snickered.

"Please, do you really believe I told you my true name? In a public place where you would be last seen with me?" She clucked her tongue like a parent would towards a misbehaving child. "I thought you were supposed to be intelligent, Erikur."

"Then by the Eight, who are you?!"

Another smirk. "You don't recognize me? I'm hurt. Truly. Deeply. Irreparably. After all I've done for you. Don't you recognize your fellow Thane?" His answer was a disbelieving stare. "No? The Thane who saved Solitude from Potema? The Thane who was at Elenwen's little party? Or perhaps I should cover myself in grey armor, and ask where you want that Balmora Blue planted."

Her? She was the guildmaster of Riften's thieves? She was the alleged Dragonborn? She was the little slut he would ruin if she turned down his advances at Jarl Elisif's court?

"You're-"

"And I have such a memorable name, too. My parents had such a wonderful sense of humor, naming their child Hemlock."

A/N: Sorry I'm stopping here for now, but it's late and I have job searching to do tomorrow ^^U
So, now you know the identity of Erikur's kidnapper/soon-to-be-torturer! My little Bosmer Hemlock, who loves to mock people. It's probably how she got arrested in the first place XD. I'm off, and if there's anything specific that anyone would like me to include, just say the word, and I'll see if I can work it in ^^
