Self Fill: Dragonborn Ascendant 2/?

"HEAR ME, SKYRIM! I am Dovahkiin, Dragonborn! I am your savior, and now, I will become your conqueror! Too long have you squabbled amongst yourselves, bereft of true leadership! I shall deliver it to you, on wings of scales and war!"

She paused, filling her lungs once more.

"But! I speak now not only as Dragonborn! I am not a merciless Dragon, nor am I a weak mortal, but a mix of the two! I extend four invitations, as four different people! As the Listener, I say to my family this! Think of the death you shall sow at my side! As the Guildmaster, I say to my fellows this! Think of the riches you can amass as we plunder the cities of Tamriel! As the Arch-mage, I say to my students this! Think of the knowledge the dragons hold, of ancient and long lost magics! Finally, as the Harbinger, I say to my Shield-siblings this! Think of the battles that will be fought, of the glory you shall earn in the courts of the Dov! To any who I have extended an invitation to, come to High Hrothgar and speak with me."

Again she paused for breath.

"To all others! Any who ascend the mountain will be burned and eaten, as food for my children! We will deal with you and your war on our time, not yours!"

With that, she descended.

"Paarthurnaax, Odahviing. I go now to High Hrothgar, to deal with the greybeards. Out of respect for you, Paarthurnaax, I shall try not to kill them. The dov may feed as they wish, but tell them to avoid the cities. We must amass more forces before we truly embark on this path."

Over the next eight days, the various factions she had called out to arrived. No-one said much to her, since no one really needed to.

Astrid and the family had arrived first, not hours after her proclamation. Cicero had been as exuberant as ever, Babette had thought the whole thing was the most interesting thing that had happened in years, and Astrid had merely nodded to her and said,

"It is as Sithis wishes."

Next to arrive had been the Thieves Guild, lead by her fellow nightingales. Bryn had simply told her he expected a sizable cut of the loot for the guild as a whole (and for him in particular), and Karliah had requested only that the sepulcher be left alone.

Two days after them, Aela and the twins had shown up. Aela had told her the rest of the companions had declined her offer, most dispersing either to the imperials or to Ulfric.

It was only the fact that Amalyn had cured the three of their curse that brought them here, Vilkas had told her later that day. They felt a loyalty to her that transcended that of nations or factions.

Last to arrive had been the College, and as Amalyn had privately predicted, the reason for this was they had brought along what appeared tobe the entire library of the college. They had appropriated the entire east wing of the compound, while the Guild and the Family had sequestered themselves in the eastern wing. The three companions mostly slept in the main hall, which suited Amayln just fine, as she had begun to notice the cold bothered her less and less, and she found herslef curling up against Odahviing or Paarthurnaxx more and more.

Still there was no words from either Solitude or Windhelm, and so Amalyn settled down to wait. Patience, though rare, was easy for a timeless Dov after all.
