When Thales opened her eyes, she recognized the wooden ceiling and the softness she was resting on. She was safe in Jorrvaskr. Or was she in a dream? Certainly she must have been hurt badly by the rocks falling on her.
Looking around, she noticed she was laying on Farkas’ bed, covered in very soft and warm furs. Her head felt tight and when she lifted her hand to check, she felt soft bandages around it. The rocks.
When she made the attempt to get off the bed, a jolt of sharp pain shot through her left leg making her yelp in pain. Pulling the furs up, she saw her leg heavily bandaged, her foot red and puffy. It pretty much looked like the nastiest wound she’s ever gotten.
Her thoughts immediately going back to what was going on. Obviously Vilkas and Aela had gotten her back to safety, but how were they? Did they get injured as well?
Trying to get off the bed once more, this time not hurting her already damaged leg, and hopped on one foot to the closed door. Opening it and looking out, she didn’t hear anyone out on the hallway making her wonder what time of the day it was. Turning her head forward, Vilkas’ doors were also closed.
Thales thought she should probably check if he was in there.
Hopping some more, the blond knocked on the door once as gently as she could and before she could knock again, the door swung open and she lost balance.
A strong arm caught her as Vilkas grunted in pain. The warmth his body radiated mixed with the smell of his skin made her feel lightheaded.
This was certainly something she was not expecting, although she’s noticed that the members of the Circle had a knack of knowing beforehand what’s going to happen. Thales wouldn’t be surprised if their werewolf blood gives them super hearing or some sort of ability.
Looking up, she smiled sheepishly at the Nord who in return looked at her pointedly. Thales couldn't help to notice he looked much friendlier without his heavy armor. He was wearing a loose long sleeve shirt and a pair of thick cotton pants.
“You just can’t go a day without somehow hurting someone with your clumsiness, can you?” Turning around, the Nord walked back to where he had been and sat at the table where Thales could see he was reading at.
