I think it would be wise to let Kodlak die. I always imagined big, tough Vilkas retreated to his room and just crumbles. It would be interesting to see how Gunnar treats him.. But this is just a suggestion! It would be a great moment for Gunnar to assume his fatherly, comforting ways that Vilkas really needs.
