Maybe Lex should get his head checked. Obviously he must be mad, slinking around in the shadows of cold, damp caves instead of continuing his cushy career as one of Riften's finest budding thieves. Except he'd been arrested, and almost executed, and his sorry Imperial ass had been saved from the chopping block by a dragon, and as it happens, he's a dragon (soul, a dragon soul, human body), and now all the dark and scary places itch just under his skin, begging to be explored.

The fledgling vampires are easy enough. A good Shout of, "YOL!" to burn them out and the strategic application of his stabby dagger of doom, and he's set to go.

Lex creeps down a corridor, the walls dripping with moss and melting snow. The whole cave smells like old blood and darker things.

And that reminds him. Fledglings don't just crop up. Someone needs to guide them, control them, create them. Every bunch of fledglings comes with...

Lex dodges when he hears the hissing roar of a firebolt being lobbed in his direction. It sizzles against the cave wall, scorching out moss.

"You must be the patriarch of this little pack. Hope you don't mind the mess back there a ways."

The patriarch, a sharp-angled altmer, arches an elegant eyebrow, visibly unimpressed, before his rose-gold eyes flash.
