Show No Weakness - Part 24/24
(Anonymous) 2012-10-22 12:23 pm (UTC)(link)Argis looked around the room. He had never really actually looked at the room before. Amund had built in extra display racks and cases yet even still it didn’t seem like enough.
The display cases were cluttered with daggers and jewels and jewellery. Most of the sword racks had two sword crammed into the one slot and the larger weapons were leaning against the wall instead of taking up weapon rack space.
He wondered how his Thane had acquired all of it. There were a few weapons that were on plaques that were not crowded in anyway.
He noticed a glass blade that gave off a mist hinting to a frost enchantment, a large axe with a face in the middle and a dagger with a curved blade with a red shimmer.
He wondered what the stories behind them were and why they were more significant than any other weapon in the room. Just as Argis began to let his mind wonder he heard the door unlock and he stood.
The two didn’t say anything and Argis awkwardly followed his Thane towards the table. They sat down and Argis began to eat but kept glancing up as he noticed Amund watching him.
Argis had barely pulled the spoon out of his mouth when Amund asked, “Does it taste alright?”
He had made a chicken soup and it was actually very good. “Yeah, it’s tasty. Where did you learn to cook?”
“The Gourmet.” There was the ghost of a mischievous smile on the Thane’s lips. “It’s a long story.”
“Oh I’m sure you would be sad to hear that he died earlier this year.”
“Hm, yes.” They ate in silence for a bit and then Amund spoke again. “So you said you wanted to talk but you’re silent.”
“Um… well…” Argis’ face went bright red. He didn’t really care what they talked about just as long as there was some interaction.
“Well I know what I want to talk about…” Argis looked at his Thane and awaited an explanation. “I want to talk about us.”
“What about us?”
“Argis, I just wanted to tell you something.” Amund took a deep breath. “You think of me as a Thane and yourself as a housecarl all the time but from now on we’re no longer divided by ranks. You don’t serve me and I don’t control you, we’re equals. I will treat you as an equal inside and outside these walls and I don’t care what anyone in all of Skyrim has to say about us together. I'll shout them all to Oblivion before I let them take you away from me.”
Argis smiled. He felt like a weight had been lifted off his shoulders. Even though the words had not been especially profound or amazingly eloquent they were enough to set him at ease. Despite the fact Argis had been feeling uneasy about a Thane and a Housecarl being in a relationship like theirs; especially with them both being males, he knew it would be okay. It would be okay because Amund said it would be okay, because the man he loved wanted them to be on the same level.
“And we discuss all our problems instead of keeping them secrets.” Amund continued, “We make an effort to eat together and talk while we do it and we will share everything we own. What do you say?”
“I’d like that.” Amund smiled and then leant forward.
“One more thing?” He had a slight smirk on his face, which made Argis’ heart pound from arousal and a slight anxiety.
“Yes?”
“Your bed.”
“My bed?” Argis said, shocked at the topic.
“Well seeing as you won’t be needing it anymore we may as well get rid of it.” He said with a wink which made Argis blush all the more.
“Do you think we could get a wagon and take it to the top of a really high cliff?” Argis said after a moment of contemplation.
“Why?” Amund asked with a raised eyebrow.
“Well wouldn’t it be fun to watch you shout it off a cliff?” Argis said with a smile. Amund considered it for a moment and then laughed heartily.
“Argis, this is one of the many, many reasons why I love you.”
“I love you too, Amund.” Argis said a slight blush coming to his cheeks that grew as their lips came together.

I'm going to feel lost without this to update from now on... But I thought this was a fitting end for Argis and Amund.
I think I'll miss reading your comments most of all though...

(Anonymous) 2012-10-22 07:38 pm (UTC)(link)This whole story was amazing. The ups, the downs, the misunderstandings... Way to work the tension anon.
I'm going to feel lost without this fill to stalk.
And I hereby take back all of my threats against Amund. He done good.

(Anonymous) 2012-10-23 05:12 am (UTC)(link)I would write more Argis/Amund but there is a serious lack of Argis requests.
I'm sure I'll find somewhere where I can put it though....

(Anonymous) 2012-10-23 05:51 am (UTC)(link)Et voila! http://skyrimkinkmeme.livejournal.com/3603.html?view=3386387#t3386387
Feel free to mess with the prompt however you want; you know it's there to be your forum. I haven't commented before, but wow, A!A. I got sort of disillusioned with the K!Meme, but you brought me back. This was hot, this actually got me invested in the characters, and this explored the really murky territory of awkward boss-employee relationships. Well done, and I do hope you keep going!
