Hi Martin!Anon,

I need to do some explaining. Now, I've never played Oblivion. (Yes, yes I know. It's on the schedule) So, I've not read any Oblivion!Porn. Not that I have a problem with it (at all) but simply because I don't know the characters or the dynamics of their relationships. I knew the Martin Septim was the last Septim emperor, and he helped the hero in Oblivion do whatever the hero does. But that was all that was covered in Skyrim. My knowledge stopped there.

But then I saw you got a brilliant review and even more chat with Dyce!Anon, so I was motivated to step outside my Skyrim comfort zone. And I'm so glad I did.

Now there is plenty of Slash sex on the ole kink meme, but there are very few true slash relationships. It's the nature of the beast. However, you've completely broken that rule. Wow. These two are amazing. It's really hard to write sex in an established relationship and make it hot, because the emotional risks aren't there.

Using the new role between these two you've reached a beautiful balence between risk and trust. Plus, you've hit on some very sweet posessiveness: Alix *knows* that Martin belongs to the Empire, but at the same time he can get off on Martin being *his*! And that's hot.

I also loved Martin getting so worked up he went non-verbal. Oh yeah, that's good. Beautiful teasing and edging between these two. And finally, I love how loving they are. You can see that they genuinely adore each other. And I'm a sucker for a love story every time.

So, excellent, excellent work, Martin!Anon! Thank you so much for sharing this and when I'm finally done baking (oy!) I'm planning on finding and enjoying the other Martin!Alix stories.

LOL - is this LongComments!Anon? Dyce!Anon and I think you're adorable ;) And yes, Martin and Alix are absolutely sickeningly in love. As well as the short stories, I have an entire NaNoWriMo novel about them, which is unfinished despite having reached 50,000 words. (I estimate it'll be about another 60,000 to bring the story to its conclusion). And a half-finished story about Martin before he found out he was the Emperor's son. And another two stories that I haven't even started yet and actually have no idea when I'll get round to :) They've well and truly taken up residence in my head.

All of the Martin/Alix stories that have been published already can be found conveniently on Archive of Our Own, including one which isn't even on the meme. Type "Alix de Feu" into the search box. (The advantage of having a character with a unique name :) ).

lol! How did you guess? I'm sure I have no idea. :D

The thing about Martin that knocked me jaw to the floor is that I've been having a very strange convergence of Sean Bean in my life. (I said it was strange) I recently (like 2 weeks ago) watched all of Game of Thrones for the first time, and then my husband got me hooked on an old series called "Sharpe's Rilfes" starring- you guessed it. So we've been watching those every other night or so. And then I finally asked myself this morning "What does this Martin person look like???" and went off to Youtube to find out. Surprise!

It's very, very strange. But I am delighted to find your stories and I'm looking forward to going through them. Thank you so much for writing and sharing them.
