Keifa and her husband moved away not long after. Brynjolf didn't know if her husband ever found out about their dalliance; he assumed not as, as she had said, he would surely have demanded revenge. But in all his years, he never forgot that night and whenever he had time to sit and rest, she would often come into his mind as a fond memory.

Fourteen years later

"...hear others' thoughts! Get your genuine Falmer blood elixir here!" Brynjolf called to the market. Some occasionally looked his way but most knew to avoid him and his 'cures' but Brynjolf didn't mind. This was mostly an excuse to get out of the Flagon every once in a while and breathe the fresh air.

"Now how would you know that this would enable you to hear others' thoughts unless you can hear them yourself?" A voice purred from behind him.

He froze. He knew that voice...

"Keifa!" He grinned as she came into view. He studied her and saw that she looked as good as when he had last saw her all those years ago. "Why, you haven't changed one bit, lass."

She laughed and crossed her arms. "Well, you certainly have! Who would have thought you'd be so smooth?"

He placed the bottled back on its table and stepped closer to her. "Ah, but I had a good teacher."

Her eyes darkened and sparkled. "Did you?"

"Aye." He rubbed his jaw. "I still have those bottles you gave me."

"I think you mean the ones you stole." She corrected with a smirk. She bit her lip. "I would very much like to see them again. And anything else you have gained since we last met."

Brynjolf never went for women older than him, especially now when he was into his thirties and young women were throwing themselves at him. But this woman...oh, gods, this woman...

"I never refused a request to see my bottle collection." He said and offered her his arm.

She took it and smiled. "I do hope it's somewhere private."

"Oh, don't worry about that." He breathed in her ear. "I can show you how much I've learnt."

ffff why hadn't I noticed this story before? It is delicious. Wonderful job, A!A, really hot and fun, and young, uncertain (but cocky - in every sense) Brynjolf was really quite sweet and Keifa is gorgeous.
