THALES ~ 17b/17 Epilogue

“He’s probably held up. Don’t fret, woman, he’s staying a couple of days to talk business with you is he not?”

Nodding, they pulled apart from each other and decided to make their way inside. While she was exhausted, she still needed to bathe and eat something.

Ulfric stayed out with his grandson, and she trusted him wholeheartedly to take good care of him as he plays around with the weapons.

“There you guys are,” Serana spoke as they walked into the main hall.

Vilkas smiled and nodded at her in acknowledgement and she did the same.

“Sorry, I had to see Haren before retreating to bathe. Want to join? Thales asked her and the other nodded immediately.

“Yes, I want to change clothes as fast as possible. I’ll just borrow some of yours.”

Vilkas rolled his eyes at the ladie’s chatter and walked straight up to the long table and served himself some mead.

Washing her hair, Thales looked up as Serana scrubbed her arms. “Hey, Serana, are you ever going to look for someone?” She asked, hoping the question wasn’t too abruptly brought to the table.

The Nord woman stopped her scrubbing and looked up at her in surprise. “Why do you ask?” She frowned slightly, but Thales knew it wasn’t in anger or anything alike. They’re very close friends now, she’s the closest she’s ever been to someone besides Vilkas.

“I’m just wondering. It seems like everyone is now finding a place in the world. I don’t mean to insinuate the place is with someone, but…” She waved her hand in the air before continuing washing her hair.

“Hmm,” she hummed in thought. It was recently that Serana decided to be at peace with her past and turn herself a mortal. Something her mother didn’t agree with, but at this point Serana was sick of living forever. She wanted her life to run along with Thales, and that warmed her heart.

“I’m sorry, I was just curious. I always thought you and Brynjolf would—”

“Would what?” The woman interrupted her with an amused expression. But the light blush on her cheeks didn’t go unnoticed her Thales.
