Jarl Ulfrics Folly 3/?

Finally he said, “elf you have infringed far to much ”. His hand clamped down on hers catching both wrist in one hand as he headed towards the door. Galmar looked like he would intervene, but Ulfric silenced him with a look. Gilse attempted to dig her heels into the carpet but was dragged right into the war room. “Let go” she panted attempting to kick at him. Ulfric used his spare arm to clear the table of red and blue flags. “Your wants are no longer relevant” he told her forcing her flat on her belly over the table. He used his weight to hold her in place while he jerked her robe up out of his way. She felt the hair on his legs brush the backs of her thighs. She heard the anger in his voice as he whispered silky “now we will ascertain just how much I dare”.

Galmar crossed his arms looking uncomfortable. The cries and occasional grunts coming from the war room went on and on, leavening little doubt as to what was taking place inside. He had rarely seen Ulfric so angry and was worried for the safety of the wee elf. He was sorely tempted to put an end to it, but the Jarl would loose face. He asked Jorleif to prepare the guest room, and provide hot water and cloths for bathing. He felt his laughter had provoked Gilse into challenging the Jarl, he owed her a little succor.

Perhaps some good would come of it. Maybe the lesson would be sharp enough to quell her insolence. Jarl Ulfric had little tolerance for insubordination and sass. As the father of daughters, Galmar was a little more forgiving of the female idiosyncrasies. He wanted Gilse to cease her open defiance of Ulfric. She didn’t understand Ulfrics true nature.

Gilse flinched as Ulfric withdrew from her. She felt a sticky liquid running down her legs. Utterly cowed she remained still as he allowed much of his weight to rest on her. “Are you in pain elf?”. “I expect you are” he mused almost to himself “You weren’t at all prepared”. He relieved her of his weight and she felt him smack her behind very lightly. “No matter, I hope you take this to heart dragonborn” he admonished her “remember to mind your manners and stay in your place”. She heard the rustle of fabric as he adjusted his clothing. His hands smoothed her robe down covering her. She didn’t move until she heard his footsteps recede into the other room.

She slid off the table gasping at the pain. She leaned against the wall unable to face the group waiting for her in the throne room. She desperately needed privacy and a place to lick her wounds. But even that was to be denied her. Galmar entered the war room accompanied by an elder dressed in mage robes. He offered her his arm “come lass lets get you settled”. She turned towards the wall refusing to acknowledge him. She gave a yelp as he simply scooped her up and headed towards the stairs she hadn’t even noticed.

He entered the first room on the right and gently laid her on the bed before crossing the room to grab a cloth. “Dragonborn you must let me clean you so the healer can examine you”. Her response was to tense up. “Lass, Gilse it has to be done”. “Wuunferth here can give you something to make you sleep if that would be easier”. He watched her with concern in his eyes. When she didn’t respond he slowly and carefully raised her robe and bunched it around her waist. He pressed her knees firmly apart. Conscious of her weeping he quickly washed her in a no nonsense manner. She was very tender and could not help wincing every time he hit a sore spot. Then he did something totally unexpected. He sat next to her and leaned over sideways effectively shielding her face from the elder. He gently placed one hand on each knee to hold her in place and gave Wuunferth a nod. The elder was slow but thorough in his exam “quite normal for this type of injuries” he finally pronounced. He stood up wiping his hands on a cloth “keep yourself clean and apply this salve”, he told her placing a small jar on the table. He took his leave.
