THALES ~ 11

11

There aren’t many people Thales has ever wanted to meet again. In fact, the few people she likes enough to actually keep contact with could be counted with the fingers on her hands. One of them being the handsome and tall blond standing in front of her with a wide, toothy smile. Ralof had helped her the day they were going to be beheaded along with Ulfric, and seeing him healthy, tall and strong made her heart flutter in happiness. He was, after all, a very beautiful person inside and out.

“I still can’t believe you want to join us. I remember you getting upset at me for even suggesting it to you.” Ralof was standing in front of them by a desk inside a private room at the back of the Palace of the Kings.

“Well, I can certainly tell you that a lot has happened since I last saw you. Let’s just say most of those things have made me change my mind about a lot of things. But a captain? Geez, Ralof, you moved up fast.” Thales smiled back at him while they waited for him to write some information from them in a book that sat amongst others alike.

“Yeah, Ulfric promoted me as soon as I came back from Riverwood. I think you can imagine why.”

“He helped me and other soldiers escape Helgen during a dragon attack when I first came to Skyrim.” Thales turned to Sapphire and then pointed at Ralof. “It was brutal but this brave man was able to keep his head cool the whole time.”

“Child’s play.” Ralof winked at them and then handed them a piece of paper each. Sapphire stared at the blond a little longer than necessary before both started doing what they were asked to do. They had to write some personal information on it regarding their physical bodies, in case they die in battle and have to be recognize.

“Is Ulfric here?” The redhead casually asked, giving back the pieces of paper to the blond before smiling up at him again. She was hoping with all her being at this point.

“He is. We just came back from a camp two days ago.”

“Ah, while you were in jai—”

“Could I speak with him?” Thales interrupted her friend and sent her a cautionary look. There was a possibility that this could all crash and burn if they found out about her being framed for murder here in this city. Not because of the murder itself, but because she was an Imperial.
