Meme Announcements!

ANNOUNCEMENTS: UPDATED 12/16/2017

Happy Holidays, fellow Kinkmemers! I have returned and have no reasonable excuse for my absence except LIFE. I will be working on updating the archives. If anyone sees anything amiss, please let me know.

I am also hoping to find another Mod and an Archivist.

The more dedicated people we have in this Meme the less chance of it dying. I admit that being the sole keeper of the Meme is not great for the fandom. If something were to happen to me, for good, this place would go the way of the Fallout Kink Meme. Let's not let that happen! If anyone would be interested in Modding/Archiving, please drop me a line. Thanks! <3

MAKE ME CRY - DB/partner

(Anonymous) 2013-01-20 08:09 am (UTC)(link)
I want you to give me the most heart wrenching goodbye your DB has ever given.

This anon is fine with any race, gender, sexual orientation, back story, etc...

Your DB loves their partner so much, too much they are willing to let them go.

Maybe is because they're scared they'll die, or maybe they think they're in danger by being in love with them. Or maybe your DB likes to suffer like that because they don't think they deserve to be loved because of the horrible things they've done in their life.

I don't care what it is, run with it and-

MAKE ME CRY.

I kind of want to make Farkas into my kicked puppy, does OP like this plan?

THIS OP LOVES THAT PLAN.

To both anons, this OP appreciates your enthusiasm! ;3; I assure you I will wait forever and ever.

AuthorNon's Note: Galmar Muse is pissing me off, so I'm going with this fill before continuing that one. I need to be mean to my Muses. Also, I would very much appreciate any and all feedback, and please let me know if I need to amend my tags at all.

"Now we can journey together to Sovngarde when the time comes! I believe I will stay here a while and meditate upon Ysgramor, my love," Farkas said happily.

Idunn smiled uneasily and swallowed hard. She left Ysgramor's Tomb without a word. She began to trot, then jog.

He wants me to join him in Sovngarde? He expects it... But I can't! Even without the Beast Blood's ties to Hircine... Idunn ran harder.

*-*-*

Farkas felt like a changed man when he returned to Jorrvaskr. Vilkas met him in the mead hall wearing a serious expression; he had never been comfortable with Farkas and the newest Companion sharing a bed.

"The Harbinger wishes to see you, brother. She asked that you join her in the Underforge."

*-*

Idunn was meditating before one of Hircine's Totems when Farkas entered the great stone chamber.

"Idunn, my love? You wished to see me?" Farkas called softly.

The tall, dark-haired Nord stood and turned in a single, graceful movement. Farkas grinned warmly and dragged her close for a passionate kiss.

"Want to desecrate one of the Totems?" Farkas asked in a deep, lusty growl.

"No, Farkas," Idunn said seriously. "There are things we must discuss."

Farkas gazed at her, his mate, his love, and he felt chilled to the bone.

"What's wrong, Idunn? Have I done something? Is this- Is it because of the Frostbite Spiders?"

Idunn shook her head. They walked to the gap that led to Whiterun's plains. Without meeting his eyes, Idunn took Farkas' hand in hers. He squeezed her tight. With her free hand she fished in her pack and produced a sword, a beautiful thing, wrought of Ebony, with red magickal runes running along the blade, and featuring a peculiar circular design under the pommel that looked like a moon in eclipse. That design looked like something he'd seen once before, but it was Vilkas who remembered things from books.

"What is this?"

"I'm not surprised you don't know it on sight. They are very rare. It is a Nightingale Blade. The Nightingales are an elite part of the Thieves' Guild. We answer to the Daedric Prince Nocturnal: we entered a special covenant, and shall serve her unto death and after," Idunn spoke quietly, without emotion or inflection, and refused to meet Farkas' gaze.

"My love?"

"I cannot meet you in Sovngarde, Farkas. I have already made arrangements for my afterlife."

"Well, but, can you not change your pact with Nocturnal?" Farkas asked desperately.

Idunn gave a bark of laughter that sounded more like a sob. She made an odd hand gesture, and a few feet away a door to the Void opened, and a Spectral Man appeared.

"I live again."

"What is this?" Farkas asked in disbelief.

"Wait. Listen, Farkas," Idunn ordered.

"One day you will serve our Dread Father as I do now."

Idunn pointed out to the plains, and the Spectre stalked off, muttering about finding a random stranger to practice on.

"I was unaware, when entering the Dark Brotherhood that I would be bound after death to Sithis, also," Idunn said sadly.

"The Dark Brotherhood. The Thieves' Guild. And Harbinger of the Companions," Farkas said quietly. "You have been busy."

"I cannot follow you to Sovngarde," Idunn said sadly. "I cannot love you after death. You should not love me, even now. I am not good for you. I never will be. I should not have joined you in your bedroll, Shield-Brother."

"But we can love one another now," Farkas protested.

"You should not, Farkas. As you said, I have ties to many: and the Listener and Guild Master are neither of them people honourable sould like you should associate with. Your wish to join me in Sovngarde should not have been the wake-up call that it was. Vilkas will help you find someone better, someone more honourable. Someone who can love you beyond death. I cannot."

"But you want to love me now," Farkas insisted.

"But now is not enough: not for you, and not for me. I have seen love that lasted beyond death; Karliah and her Nightingale Gallus..." Idunn trailed off into an envious sigh.

"I could be a Nightingale with you," Farkas said desperately.

"But you cannot follow me into the Void if Sithis calls on my services as he has Monsieur Lachance. It's not fair to you; none of this is fair!" Idunn's composure broke, and she turned away from Farkas, fists raised against the stone.

Farkas rested his hands on her shoulders, and squeezed gently, the way she liked him to when she was exhausted from battling dragons, bandits, rogue pyromancers and Talos knew what else. She shook him off and glared at him. Farkas wished he still had the beast within him: taking the Beast Form would hurt less than this.

"I still don't understand," he said plaintively.

"This - us - what's between us is at an end, and never should have begun in the first place," Idunn said, the harshness in her voice making Farkas hurt to his very teeth.

"But it is between us. You're my mate," Farkas said growing desperate.

"No, Farkas. I'm not. I cannot make this any clearer. I am going to leave Whiterun for the time being, to make it easier on you."

"No," Farkas cried out, reaching out for her.

Idunn danced aside, and reached up to press a finger to his lips.

"Farkas. Listen. I am not for you. I am bad for you, and I am finally doing right by you. Goodbye, Farkas."

"No!"

"Goodbye."

Idunn turned and ran off, meeting a great black horse with unnatural red eyes.

"Come back!" Farkas cried out.

Idunn mounted up and galloped off, faster than Farkas could ever hope to run, leaving him alone with the gaping hole in his heart and soul.

Not the OP - but does anyone ever mind a double fill? The more the merrier as far as I'm concerned!

I agree with this anon. Fill'em until they overflow! Just jam them all in there. Ram them all in. I know this anon would just squeal with joy and ask for more.

THANK YOU FOR WANTING TO MAKE ME CRY.

“I-“ The words caught in her throat as she struggled to choke them out. They would kill her, stealing her very life force as she spoke them. But it would be worth it to know he was safe. Safe from the dangers that hounded her every step. Safe from the imminent death that lingered around every corner, just waiting to take her. To take those she loved.

And she loved him very much. Loved the way he moved in battle. The way he strode through the world, so full of confidence, so certain of his immortality. She loved the way his body felt on hers, the caress of skin upon skin. She lived to hear him groan and whisper to the gods when they made love. He was the light of her life, the reason she woke each day, the reason she continued to breathe and fight to survive each deadly encounter.

Leaving him would kill her.

“I cannot be with you any longer,” the tears burned behind her eyelids. They would give truth to the lies she was about to tell him, and she desperately willed them not to fall. “I do not love you.”

Lies the voice screamed in the back of her head. She felt her heart breaking in her chest, and wondered if she would ever feel happiness without him by her side. LIES!

She could not look at his face, could not see the pain that she knew she caused him. She was not strong enough to face the hurt that she caused and still walk away. She was not sure anyone was that strong.

But with time he would heal, and he might move on and find happiness with someone else. He would live without her, as she was becoming more certain that he could not with her. She was dangerous. Deadly. Everyone she loved died.

“I have never loved you.”

LIES, LIES, LIES! The voice screamed louder in her head, she turned away, so he would not see the anguish in her face. So he could not see the tears that even now were beginning to run down her cheeks against her will.

She felt his hand upon her arm, heard him begging her to stay, to speak to him. To love him. But she did love him, with every fiber of her broken being she loved him. She loved him so much she could not stay, because she was death.

“Goodbye.” She shook his hand off roughly, felt her heart breaking even more as she walked away. With each step, she felt her heart shatter further, until all that remained of her was fragments of pain and sadness.

Everything she loved died.

Everything.

She did not look back. She could not.

“I am sorry.” She whispered. They were the last words she would ever speak to him, and she prayed he did not hear them. “I’m so sorry.”

Not any of the above A!As but couldn't help writing something heartwrenching before bed. Because, you know, had to make myself cry.

OP!

(Anonymous) 2013-01-29 06:52 pm (UTC)(link)
Wow A!A! I'm rubbing my teary eyes! This was short, sweet with angst and so ambiguous with the male lover! I can pretty much place any character there! Thank you!!!

This is a very happy OP! Multiple fics, heck yes!

Re: OP!

(Anonymous) 2013-01-29 07:55 pm (UTC)(link)
I was hoping you'd enjoy the ambiguity... since I think we all have our favorites and I didn't know who you'd like or want heartbroken.

Glad you liked, OP. :)

Re: MAKE ME CRY - DB/partner Potential A!Anon has a question

(Anonymous) 2013-08-24 05:17 am (UTC)(link)
Would the OP mind if it wasn't so much a goodbye as the DB mourning their partner? Think about it, an average elf lives to be hundreds of years old but the average man lives to about 100... I was thinking about using my DB, who married Farkas, and basically doing a story about him over a thousand years after his husband's death and how, every 80 years or so he goes and mourns. At the end of each mourning period he says goodbye to his husband for another 80 years as he locks away the feelings that he once had, now but a gentle pain, and leaves the grave.
