BTW, something I've been meaning to do ever since I first posted: The translation for the tile is 'mortal hero? mortal conqueror?'

Shit. Shitshitshitshit.

By the Nine, what had she done?!

She had insulted and attacked the leader of the stormcloack rebeelion in his own keep.

To top it off, She had used that language again, that strange, growling language she had heard Mirmulnir speak.

A moment of panic gripped her. Was this the fate of the dragonborn? To slowly become more and more dragon-like themselves, as they devoured the souls of their distant kin? She idly thought of herself with wings and giggled. it would save time traveling, for certain.

A few minutes went by, and Aeyla found herself relaxing. So what if she became more dragonlike? It wasn't as if being a Joor had done her any favors. She also found herself becoming not horrified by the use of the Dov-Tinvaak, but intrigued. Maybe, if she spoke it, the dragons would cease their persistent attacks on her?

xxx

Four days later, near the border of the Rift, she got her chance.

A few farmers she had spoken to were convinced a dragon was roosting in a nearby cave. The guards stationed near the farm had apparently refused to believe it, so Aeyla readily agreed to go investigate.

As she approached the cave, she began feeling a slight burn in her stomach. It wasn't painful, but it was insistent, as if something inside her was trying (rather feebly) to get out. Finally reaching the lip of the cave, Aeyla looked around, making sure none of the farmers had tried to follow her out of curiosity, and got ready to say something.

Nothing came. What was she supposed to say? What was Dov for "Hi, please don't kill me?" The burning intensified suddenly, and she found her head filled with the knowledge she needed. She took hold of the feeling, as she had done in Windhelm, and strode into the cave.

"Drem Yol Lok!, Dovah!"

A moments silence, then a reply.

"Drem Yol Lok, Briinah."

The dragon ambled forward, eyes trained on the form of the Breton.

"Joor? Niid...Dovahkiin. Kosi Het Wah Kriii, Dovahkiin?"

"Nid, Zeymah. Hindi Tinvaak Wahi."

Minutes passed by. Aeyla began to grow nervous had begun preparing her magic for an attack when the dragon spoke again.

"Miinleinaak, Briinah."

She rolled the phrase out on her tongue. Eye-World-Guide...was that his name?

She pointed at herself.

"Aeyla." Then she pointed at him. "Miinleinaak."

The dragon snorted, which Aeyla interpreted as amusement.

"Geh, Miinleinaak. Tinvaaki Wahi, Ai-la? Se?"

"Naaki Sil, Dovaani. Vojoor."

Miin (as she had immediately nicknamed him internally) was silent for a good ten minutes, at least. Aeyla had sat down and idly began humming to herself by the time he spoke again.

"Paarthurnax Fent Mindok."

"Paarthurnax?"

"Geh, Fin Wuth Gein. Siivi Lein Strunmah."

World mountain? The throat of the world? Aeyla cursed herself. She knew she should have gone to see the greybeards first!

She turned to leave, calling out behind her,

"Drem, Miinleinaak."

"Drem, Dovahkiin. Vohindi Diri."

The smile Aeyla had upon leaving the cave could have lit up all of Solitude.

and done. No action, just talk. lotsa translation notes inbound.

This is awesome, in the literal sense; I'm awed that you've done so much with the language! Also, thank you for providing the translations.

And I thought I recognized that last line. :)
