Fitfully would have been a better description of how Alvy slept. Likely due to the excitement that she would be heading back home to skyrim after a few weeks of being away -- and she’d never been away from home at all before this. Or that Teldryn was coming with her. Or that this whole Miraak thing was dealt with. Not to mention the steamy dreams that floated through her little blonde head about her traveling companion while she was dozing, she wouldn't be admitting that out loud though.

It didn’t matter because she woke up early in the morning with Teldryn still peacefully asleep in his bedroll. No where near her.

The young archer grabbed a cloth and her armor, heading down to the water to wash.

She’d admit one of the things she’d definitely miss about Solstheim was the slightly warmer water than Skyrim offered, it made for more pleasant bathing. Alvy was down to her smalls when she heard the telltale signs of ash spawn appearing from the soils, and spun around to see two rising up behind her.

Shit. Shit.

Reaching down for her tunic she grabbed a steel dagger, the only weapon she had brought with her, and started slashing at the creatures.

This was how she was going to die she was sure of it. Fighting stupid ash spawn with a damn dagger -- luckily Teldryn appeared with his sword in hand, and a very helpful flame atronach so Alvy was able to step back and heal herself with a meager healing spell, one of the few spells she even knew. By the time the last ash spawn went down she was fully healed, and panting as she looked up at Teldryn who walked closer to her. “Thanks,” she said sheepishly after he reached down to grab her hand and help her up, the rough feel of his armor making her realize that-- oh yeah! She was almost completely naked. Alvy automatically brought her hand up to cover herself feeling her cheeks turning red again. “Sorry…”

“I’ll leave you to it then,” Teldryn said, and the young Nord girl had to curse his helmet (which she had done a hundred times before) because his tone gave nothing of what he was feeling away, and seeing his face would help a lot right now. Or maybe it’d make everything worse... She just gave an awkward sort of nod and watched the Dunmer head back to their camp.

This was a really, really good read and, just by the start, looked very promising.
Maybe A!A still checks this from time to time? Maybe A!A needs to be coaxed to come out of her hiatus and begged to continue, yes? Pretty please with a chitin helmet on top? ;P

Honestly I have been struggling with a lot of personal issues that kind of zapped away any interest, or desire I had in anything creative that I was doing. But I've been doing a lot better, and recently started playing Skyrim again so I just might get this back up and going again. I do love Teldryn after all, and Alvy is my little baby so... We'll see what I can do. Hopefully.
