I (OP) was reading this at work yesterday, constantly checking for updates! I love your take on my prompt, and this darker side of Ulfric you're working with. I curious to find out where this is going, with all these twists and turns you've made it hard to guess ;)

Obviously he cannot kill her as she's the Dragonborn, so what then will be her punishment for her betrayal? Does Galmar hear her out and what does he think? I can imagine that in a way he respects her loyalty what with being Thane of Whiterun, perhaps even having an adopted child stowed away there?

I'm having so much fun writing this. The strange thing is the characters have sort of taken over telling me what to write. I had intended Gilse to end up with Galmar but she and Ulfric had other ideas. I think the punishment he is considering is diabolical (evil grin). I am really glad you are enjoying this I was afraid I was moving to far from the prompt. Thank you for enjoying my first fill =)
