Child!Dragonborn, gen, the difference a decade (or more) makes

Confined to the restraints of the console version, I've had to come up with new ways to keep Skyrim exciting. Usually this means filling up a room in my lakeside mansion with a random item (word of advice: do not try this with mountain flowers unless you have a *lot* of patience), but occassionally I incorporate roleplaying elements.

In my latest playthrough my character is a 12-year-old girl, and after a while I start to wonder... Just how *would* the story change if the Dragonborn was a child? Would the Imperials be so quick to execute her? What about quests? Surely people aren't just going to point this poor kid to a bandit-invested cave and tell her to come back with their family sword, right?

More importantly, though, just how would she handle being Dragonborn? That's a lot of weight on a kid's shoulders, and a lot of risk to boot - and who is going to believe this scrawny kid who hasn't even hit puberty is destined to beat Alduin, anyway?

There's so much potential here, guys, and I'd love to see it explored. All of the little details, such as gender, race, and backstory, are up for grabs. I just want to see someone work through the ramifications of the hero of legend being a kid, with a kid's thoughts and feelings and a kid's limitations.

and a kid's mysterious immortality

Just kiddin'. OP I'd love to give this a try! I've got another fill I'm working on at the moment but once I wrap that up I'll pop right on over here!

Oh man, I've been planning a story almost exactly like this for a while now. I'd love to see this happen.
