'Answer to Yourself' [10/10]

“Stendarr’s Mercy, Alla, I just was angry you couldn’t see how awful they were! My master died because of one and now you-! You’re…” he held her tighter and she reached up, her fingers uselessly trying to pull him off with no luck. “I loved you.”

Her heart plummeted and she stared at the ground. There is was again. I loved you; past tense. The Bosmer was standing off to the side staring at her and she chewed her lip as she finally remembered his name. Enthir.

He had been right all along.

It didn’t matter now, she served Hermaeus and she was his until he tired of her which she was beginning to feel like he already had. Despite being dragonborn she severely lacked the power Miraak had and she had begun to think of her victory over him as a stroke of luck. Maybe it was from the gods to punish her more for her acts. Whatever it was, she was tired and no longer able to fight or debate.

She pried the hands off of her body, stumbling a bit before righting herself and she stared at the ground, her limbs and mind heavy. “I need to get back to my master,” she lamented. “Keep well, Nelacar. Enthir.”

“You can’t leave!” Enthir called and she stopped. “Alla… let us help you.”

She turned back to stare at them.

“You can’t.”

Well it was absolutely beautifully written, but wow what a downer. I really hope this isn't the end for Alla, because this is just heart-rendingly sad. I'm going to be thinking about this one for a while, I can tell.

ah-aha haaa whoops. It really did come off like that didn't it ahahaa ffffffuck. I'm sorry fuuuck.

A-And I'm not sure anon. I mean, I was debating on it being poetic the first and last dragonborn are killed by old Hermaeus but that's so dickish. But then again what's to say all dragonborns have to live to a ripe old age and blahblahblah. I haven't made up my mind but I assure you, the two fics I have backlogged with her aren't an angst fest. This was that one exception.

So I know you said that Alla get's the worst ending but this can't really be the end?
Please tell me this isn't the end, it's so sad… I love it, but it makes me really sad…

Either way, an absolutely amazing story.

DDDD: I was so looking forward to reading about Alla dominating Ancarion in bed (DARE I HOPE, A!A? WILL IT HAPPEN IN ANOTHER FILL?) but instead I got a bucketful of angst to the face. That was really sad however...poor Alla.

*scouting for prompts* Yes, one of my WIPs (actually, two of them on a double check) is Alla dominating the fuck out of Ancarion. It's just taking a while since I keep getting distracted by shiny new prompts... I can't promise... but I will _try_ to get my act together and do it. fdhfjjd
