(Anonymous) 2014-04-09 03:14 pm (UTC)(link)If it gets long, i'm sorry. Also i'm very much sorry if something/everything will be unintelligible, and i'll try to answer all the questions in time. So, basically, DB lives a pretty happy life with spouse, and it's been some time, and then said spouse starts thinking 'what if DB will want to go on adventures again one day and leave me and all we had together because s/he will feel like I'm holding them back' or something like that, and the thought itself poisons the air, but spouse doesn't share his/her doubts with DB. This is kinda sad in itself. And then it can go even further, with DB who knows about her/her spouse's doubts, and tries to comfort his/her spouse, 'cause DB is completely okay with living the rest of his/her life with his/her beloved spouse (and pretty much happy with it too, like, really happy), but isn't all that opposed to the idea of going adventuring again (which doesn't mean s/he's going to leave her/his spouse in any case). But DB does feel like this is a betrayal anyway, because s/he kinda confirms spouse's doubts, and s/he also can't get his/her spouse to believe that DB isn't going to leave them and go adventuring. Like, ever. Even for the gold and adventures and fame and all that fancy stuff.
This is all pretty angsty for the prompt about fluff, but honestly this all was the first version of the prompt. I will be completely okay if a!a decides against writing this in at all or writing only the first part, but alas, i've always been quite a sucker for angst in any form. Even in fluff.

Especially with the chosen husband and whatnot. xD So yes, I am giving this a go. I'll try to get the first bit up very soon!
