The water, when Katla waded in, was refreshingly cool but not cold. Dragonflies buzzed past her ears, and Katla saw with childlike wonder that the aurora was out — a sizzling gold, this time. Goosebumps rose on her cooled skin, and Katla crossed her arms across her contracted and sensitive nipples.

“Ready or not, here I come,” said her husband, playfully, as he jumped in the water beside her with a mighty splash, swamping her completely.

“Aaah, Vilkas, you big puppy!” Katla jumped on him with a mock roar and ducked his head under the water, then wrapped her long legs around his waist and bit him on the shoulder when he came up laughing.

Vilkas gasped in delight, and reached his hands up to knead her buttocks. “Mmm, Katla, I love your curves,” he said, in deep appreciation. She felt his arousal pressing against her inner thigh, as he continued to run his hands up her back and over her waist. Feeling adventurous and suddenly on fire for her husband, Katla loosened her grip on his waist and slid down, until he was nestled against the entrance of her body. Vilkas sucked air through his teeth, hissing in pleasure, and ran his hands down to hold her hips securely.


Katla let herself slide slowly down into the water, feeling him enter her with a shiver of delight and a low moan, which Vilkas echoed. Pulling herself up by his broad shoulders, she repeated the motion; Vilkas, with feet apart and holding her hips firmly, helped lift her, leaning into her rhythm. His eyes were closed, and his mouth slightly open, a look of intense pleasure across his face. Katla kissed his irresistible bottom lip, pulling it slightly into her mouth, as she slid down again, enjoying the way their wet bodies rubbed against each other, her sensitive nipples brushing the fur on his chest, his body deep inside hers. The water supported them both as Katla rocked up and down, her face glowing with arousal, her head tilted back. Gradually, the rhythm they shared became more urgent, their breathing and heartbeats synchronizing as they moved together toward their ultimate unison. And as Masser rose above the mountains and forest of the Rift, they cried out together, quietly. Afterward, Katla stayed wrapped around him, loving the feeling of him within her, and they kissed, deeply.

“The rest of our lives,” Katla said softly. “I can hardly wait for the next bite.”
