This will probably make it painfully clear what kinds of stories I go for, but for all those of you with similar tastes...

Why does it make you feel all warm inside and why should others read it: OK, I am an incurable lover of genfic, so if you're not then this one is not for you. But if you want a wrenching, well-written and totally canon compliant look at Ulfric, flaws and all, look no further. I cried real live tears.
Warnings: some wartime violence and implied torture
