ANNOUNCEMENTS: UPDATED 12/16/2017

Happy Holidays, fellow Kinkmemers! I have returned and have no reasonable excuse for my absence except LIFE. I will be working on updating the archives. If anyone sees anything amiss, please let me know.

I am also hoping to find another Mod and an Archivist.

The more dedicated people we have in this Meme the less chance of it dying. I admit that being the sole keeper of the Meme is not great for the fandom. If something were to happen to me, for good, this place would go the way of the Fallout Kink Meme. Let's not let that happen! If anyone would be interested in Modding/Archiving, please drop me a line. Thanks! <3

Oh, sounds so cute. I love that guy. He's married to my gentle Bosmer priest. I could do a story and just cast my priest as a lady.

(First Replier here--This is the first part. Revyn turned out a little more...bitter? I guess? Than I'd intended at first, but I was thinking about how it would wear on a person, to live in a place like that every day. Especially because he doesn't seem to have any friends or relatives like the other Dunmer in the Gray Quarter seem to.)

Revyn would have preferred no one see him like this, curled up in one of the many shabby corners of the Gray Quarter, beaten and dejected. Rolff Stonefist had gotten a few friends drunk enough to join him on one of his nightly forays into the dark elves' part of town, and Revyn had been unlucky enough to be out for a walk when they came by. What had happened next couldn't even be considered a fight. Revyn wasn't a brawler. Now his ribs throbbed with every heartbeat, and blotches of his gray skin were beginning to darken even further into bruises. His hands and face had been cut on the sharp stones.

Though he needed help, he was loathe to admit it, and even more loathe to go to the temple or walk, in this condition, through the streets of the city proper to get to the apothecary. In his mind's eye he could see Rolff or one of his friends, or that old broad from Candlehearth Hall, watching him, smirking or jeering, knowing what had happened. Being a Dunmer, he couldn't stand the though of parading his misery. So he'd tried to hide, to wait until he felt equal to the task of getting home. But even that was going wrong.

Here was that Bosmer woman again, Cecily, always wandering around the city, always getting turned around in the narrow, winding streets and turning up at his shop to ask for directions, only to end up staying and chatting with him for hours. He could see her, the edge of her orange robes trailing in the slush, walking slowly up the road. He shrunk back into the darkness.

Just pass by, he thought. Pass by, go on, knock on my door, decide I'm not home. Please, go dancing back into your magical world of dragons and gildergreens and dwarven ruins. He pressed back against the wall, hiding behind the barrels. She moved past him, one long brown hand holding the edge of her hood to keep the cold, snow-smelling wind from snatching it off.

Revyn watched her retreating back, and sighed silently. Maybe a tiny part of him had hoped she'd stop. It was terribly cold, and he was alone, and in pain. The wind shreiked around the corner like it always did. So this is the way it is, then, he thought. The wretched sameness of it all sunk in then, a cold worse than the coming storm, and he choked on the sudden lump in his throat, gritting his teeth in shame at his sorry situation, and at the tear burning suddenly in the corners of his eyes. He hid his face in his thin hands and took a trembling breath. He didn't look up, even when the urge to cry had passed. There was nothing to see, after all, that he wouldn't see again tomorrow and probably every day for the rest of his life.

"Hey, are you alright?" A hand fell on his shoulder, and he looked up, instinctively defiant. Cecily was back. "Revyn, what's wrong? Have you been crying? What happened?"

"Nothing you need to concern yourself with."

"Don't lie."

"I was--It was that Stonefist man. Him and some of his friends showed up..." he trailed off.

She frowned, suddenly dangerous. "Galmar Stonefist?"

What in Oblivion does she think she could do, even if it was him?, the Dunmer wondered. "No, the stupid one. The drunk."

"Oh."Cecily glanced up and down the road as if she thought they might return. "Come on. Let's get you home. Here, I'll help you."

Revyn wasn't really in a position to object. Together they made their way a few streets down, back to the shop. Cecily was unusually silent, and Revyn was a little thankful. Keeping any kind of conversation up was a bit beyond him right now. It felt longer than it took to get back to the shop. Cecily shoved the door open with her free shoulder and closed it behind them with her foot. Sadri stepped away from her then, and leaned against the counter.

"Thank you for your help," he said, a bit shortly. "I can take care of myself from here." He really was grateful for her help. But he hated to be seen like this, and he hated to be a burden to anyone.

Cecily folded her arms, seemed about to say something impatient. But she noticed the look on the other elf's face, and her expression softened. "You're hurt. I'm a healer, and I'm your friend. It's not a trouble to me, to help you. I want to help you."

Revyn was silent. It had been a very long time since anyone had shown him kindness, and he was unsure how to react. "Alright," he said at last. Cecily put his arm over her shoulders and together, they made their way to his room at the back of the shop.

OP here, and I love it! Already my heart is breaking, which is exactly what I was hoping for. :D I think the bitterness would be somewhat inevitable for someone in his situation, and you've balanced it very well here so it doesn't come out as too overblown or melodramatic. Basically, it's perfect. And I like Cecily already! Keep up the fantastic work, Anon!
