ANNOUNCEMENTS: UPDATED 12/16/2017
Happy Holidays, fellow Kinkmemers! I have returned and have no reasonable excuse for my absence except LIFE. I will be working on updating the archives. If anyone sees anything amiss, please let me know.
I am also hoping to find another Mod and an Archivist.
The more dedicated people we have in this Meme the less chance of it dying. I admit that being the sole keeper of the Meme is not great for the fandom. If something were to happen to me, for good, this place would go the way of the Fallout Kink Meme. Let's not let that happen! If anyone would be interested in Modding/Archiving, please drop me a line. Thanks! <3

Date: 2013-06-30 05:15 pm (UTC)Book Smarts Part One
Date: 2013-08-07 08:21 pm (UTC)Delphine knew the Dragonborn liked stealing things, but this was ridiculous. The Bosmer has been asked to retrieve a single document; instead she brought back every single book and piece of paper she could fine. And the blasted elf had just left them on the table.
“Which one is the right document?” Delphine held the bridge of her nose with her two fingers, trying not to scream,
The Bosmer before her wasn’t what she expected the hero of Skyrim. The young woman was short and curvy, with dirty red hair and well-tanned skin that always had a layer of dirt on it. Her name was Stout; at least that was what she claimed to be called. What kind of parents would name their child that, she didn’t know.
“Umm…I don’t know?’ Stout grinned and tried to look as innocent as possible.
“Can you at least remember what the document said?’ Delphine was close to exhausted.
“Nope sorry, I…I only took a glimpse of it.”
Dragonborn or not, Delphine really wanted to strangle the woman in front of her. Stout was many things; a little crazy and bloody annoying being the main two, but she wasn’t that stupid. No this had to be one of her many childish games, her trying to get a rise out of someone. And it was defiantly working,
Stout’s friend, a Dark Elf in monk’s robes, only shook his head. Erandur wanted to step in and just explain everything in a calm manner; the Breton looked about ready to kill her. However his companion and friend had begged him not to say anything, so he couldn’t. Unless of course he wanted her to look like a kicked puppy for the next week or so, and know he caused it.
“Enough of your tricks,” Delphine growled, “just show me which one is the right document or so help me-“
“Okay…um…it’s this one!”
Stout threw a random book at her that Delphine caught in ease. In the Bosmer’s defence it did look like an official sort of things, with a leather cover and lock. However upon opening the book and reading the first page it became clear that the book had on official origins. Indeed it seemed as though one of the Thalmor had taken to penning his or her own…adult novels.
“Do you think this is a game?” Delphine’s voice was low and filled with cold fury. “There are dragons flying around, burning villages and killing innocent people. There is a war going on and the Thalmor have their claws right in it, and you pick now of all times to joke around!”
Stout held her hands up in surrender as the Breton screamed and yelled at her, trying her best to stay cool. All she really wanted to do was run away and cry her eyes out, because she had no decent answer. There was no way Stout could explain the difficulty in all this, not without embarrassing herself in the process.
“I cannot believe that such a childish and idiotic woman could ever be the Dragonborn!” Delphine was just inches away from her now, exploding with rage. “How in Oblivion are we meant to kill dragons with the likes of you leading the way?”
“I-I’m sorry…”
“Sorry, that’s all you can say?!”
“It’s not her fault,” Erandur piped up quickly and stood in front of his friend, “Stout has a few…problems with reading.”
He turned around and saw the look, the one of heartbreak and betrayal. And the Breton was crossing her arms as she glared at them both, as though willing any lies out of them. When it was obvious that neither of them were hiding anything all she did was huff, looking to Stout.
“When he says problems, what exactly does that mean?”
“Well you see…I my parents never really paid much attention to that sort of thing.” Stout said, “I mean there wanted me to know how to hunt and such, but I guess they must’ve forgotten reading.”
“Just what sorts of parents do that?” Delphine sounded less angry now, though she was nursing one nasty headache.
“They were hunters and bandits, depending on what crossed their path.” Well at least that explained the name, and the bizarre need to steal thing…and kill so many elk.
“Alright I’ll bite.” As unbelievable as it all sounded, she’d heard of stranger things. “So just how in Oblivion have you gotten this far? You’ve had notes you need to read and books, not to mention two children to teach.”
Book Smarts Part 2
Date: 2013-08-07 08:22 pm (UTC)“It will probably be a long and gradual process,” the priest explained, “it’s always harder to learn such things we one is older.”
“He hasn’t always been with you.”
“Yea but before that I just got the townsfolk to tell me the location, saying I didn’t know where it was. Usually they’d read the whole thing to themselves and when they didn’t…I just went to place and killed everything.”
“Well I guess that’s…somewhat believable,” Delphine was rather dumbfounded at this point. “However that still doesn’t explain how you manage to raise your children.”
“They know more about reading then I do, not to mention that’s what Housecarls are for.” Stout said, “They normally just what to play when I get home…which probably isn’t enough I guess. Anyway neither of my daughters really asks for books I just get them dresses dolls, oh and daggers!”
“What was that last part?”
“Daggers, you know so they can learn to fight. It’s never too early to start swinging a blade.”
“And you let her do this?” Delphine turned to Erandur, “You’re meant to be a priest of Mara!”
“Let is a very strong word for something I cannot stop.” He muttered, “I am trying to teach her that they are better gifts, such wooden swords-”
“Those things break easily, anyway it’s better to get them using proper weapons. There are vampires, dragons and cultists about ready to kidnap them, better to have them stabbing shins at least.” Stout was sounding more and more defensive. “And they enjoy the training anyway, why Sofia and Runa are wondering when I’m going to let them slay areal dragon.”
“It’s how she was raised…minus the dragons of course.” Erandur told the Blade, “Like I said I am trying to improve things.”
Before the nutty Bosmer had opened her mouth, Delphine had been dealing with a growing headache. Now she was in the throes of a massive, stressed induced migraine, and not for the first in her life she wished the Dragonborn had never appeared. At least she wouldn’t have to deal with her, or the knowledge of the woman’s terrible parenting skills.
“Hey I’m not the only person in Skyrim who can’t read!” The Wood elf stamped her foot, which wasn’t very threatening. “There are a lot of people, who live their lives without even picking up a book; so why does it matter if I can’t?”
“You are the one who didn’t mention it, and the one who is…embarrassed by it.” Erandur pointed out gently.
“I’m only embarrassed because you two can read,” Stout admitted, “because…well you two probably think I’m stupid and-”
“It’s got nothing to do with you being illiterate.” Delphine was firm but calm, “I don’t think less of you for it; I just wish you had told me all this beforehand so I could plan accordingly.”
“What?”
“You were persistent that your follower go everywhere with you, and now I know why. If you’d have told me early I would have found a way for him to go to the Embassy.”
Stout looked at her in bewilderment and surprise. The Blade could feel whatever anger she held towards the other woman slowly disappear; it all made a little more sense now. Most of her issues were a product of her childhood, including her own horrible parenting skills
“So…you’re…not mad?”
“No. Now with that out of the way you may leave, I have a lot of documents to look through.” Thank you very much. “So you two can go and…do whatever it is you do.”
And as Stout walked –well ran out the door, Delphine gave Erandur a nod. They would need to have a long and possibly difficult conversation late; the Dark Elf knew far more about this then he let on. Stout trusted him with secrets and feelings; though chances were that Delphine would never get the entire story.
At least her children are ready for the worst, Delphine thought as she had a strange understanding of Stout’s methods, who knows, maybe they’ll be as good as fighting as her...without all the baggage

Date: 2013-08-08 04:02 pm (UTC)I love the way Stout knows to get around her illiteracy. Good job she didn't pick Marcurio as a companion, she'd never hear the end of it!
