Happy Holidays, fellow Kinkmemers! I have returned and have no reasonable excuse for my absence except LIFE. I will be working on updating the archives. If anyone sees anything amiss, please let me know.
I am also hoping to find another Mod and an Archivist.
The more dedicated people we have in this Meme the less chance of it dying. I admit that being the sole keeper of the Meme is not great for the fandom. If something were to happen to me, for good, this place would go the way of the Fallout Kink Meme. Let's not let that happen! If anyone would be interested in Modding/Archiving, please drop me a line. Thanks! <3
Dawning - Part 4/?
Date: 2014-05-20 06:06 am (UTC)She saw him glance around and in the brief second let the arrow fly, lodging itself into the Dragon’s eye. He made a terrible roar and Ariella moved quickly, avoiding the tail that was thrashing around.
He seemed to be trying to hit her with it, his vision failing with one eye gone.
Ariella released two more arrows that landed deeply into the belly of the new bloody beast. Yet despite all that blood that coated him now Alduin would not fall. With only one arrow left and her sword not in sight Ariella didn't know how much use she would be.
Ariella was admittedly standing right where she shouldn’t have been. She was on the Dragon’s good side, the one where he could see. She was a little behind the wing, just out of its reach but within reach of the horned tail. She hadn’t noticed until it stabbed into her side.
The Ancient dragon appeared to drop his defences as the spike on the end of his tail pierced through her stomach. Pain spread quickly and it was only that feeling which caused her to let go of her final arrow. It landed in the beast’s other eye giving Hakon the chance to drive his sword through the Dragon’s gut.
Alduin dropped to the ground, the horned tail ripping from her stomach. It had gone through her armour like it was nothing. Unable to do much else Ariella fell to the ground. Feeling disappearing from her body as the pain took over.
She knew she had to put pressure on the wound but she couldn’t find the strength to move. She could see Alduin’s soul disappearing into the heavens as strong hands came to her side.
She wanted to go to sleep but a voice kept calling her back. She tried to focus on it but found it hard.
Hands were pressed into her side and she felt healing magic being cast over her. She didn’t know any of the Nords here would know such spells.
She was sure she would have been screaming in pain if she hadn’t already lost her voice. She breathed in through her mouth, never quite getting enough air. Each breath tore through her, throat aching.
“Enough.” The strong voice was clear despite Ariella’s unfocused senses. The healing magic stopped and there was a short argument. She couldn’t really understand what was happening around her but she could hear one thing; she could not be healed here and would have to go back to Nirn.
“Wait…” Ariella tried to speak but the soft, painful whisper was lost to the wind. “Wait…” She tried again, speaking through the pain. The Nords did not hear her; instead discussing how it was best to send her back now. “Wait, I have something to do.”
The Nords stopped their bickering and looked down at her. Her armour was bloodied and the wound was severe. “What is it, Dragonborn?” Gormlaith asked, kneeling by her side.
“I have to see him…”
