Meme Announcements!

ANNOUNCEMENTS: UPDATED 12/16/2017
Happy Holidays, fellow Kinkmemers! I have returned and have no reasonable excuse for my absence except LIFE. I will be working on updating the archives. If anyone sees anything amiss, please let me know.
I am also hoping to find another Mod and an Archivist.
The more dedicated people we have in this Meme the less chance of it dying. I admit that being the sole keeper of the Meme is not great for the fandom. If something were to happen to me, for good, this place would go the way of the Fallout Kink Meme. Let's not let that happen! If anyone would be interested in Modding/Archiving, please drop me a line. Thanks! <3
Dawning - Part 9/?
Date: 2014-06-09 02:24 pm (UTC)----
Aela sighed as she pushed open the door to Belethor’s shop. Aela didn’t have anything against the man, his salesmen skills matched her battle skills in fierceness and it was a trait Aela rather liked.
Yet today was not going to be a trip of stubborn bartering and bargaining. Today was a far more serious concern, one Aela felt stupid for even bothering to ask.
Even though Belethor had been set up in Whiterun for some years Aela knew nothing about him. She didn’t know where he came from or even how old he was. However, she was grasping at straws and he was the only Breton in town who could possibly help her.
The gruesome task had fallen to her in the end. The Harbinger should organise the memorial for the Breton after all it only made sense. Aela didn’t know where to start.
Any services she had attended had been for Nords and she didn’t want to sent the delicate Breton off in such a way unsuited to her. She didn’t know any of the traditions Bretons held, or even how they put their dead to rest.
Farkas had suggested a Companion memorial yet Aela disagreed. Ariella left their halls and Aela thought it would be betraying her wishes if they were to do that. Instead, they would find a way to help her soul pass into the next world not as Companions but as friends.
“Aela the Huntress, what are you going to try to rip me off with today?” Belethor quipped once the door closed behind her. A look of confusion passed over his face as he noted her miserable expression and lack of loot sack.
“Sorry Belethor, not today.” She pulled up a stool and sat across from him. “Forgive me for assuming you know the answer but I need to know how Bretons are buried.”
His expression softened and he leaned onto his counter. “I know some of the traditions. Where was she from?”
He voice was so serious and it took Aela a moment to think. She briefly wondered if Daggerfall was even where Ariella was from. As a scholar she travelled all over it seemed and Aela had never taken the time to ask her about it; even when Ariella had asked her so much. “Daggerfall.”
“A southerner then, they tend to bury the dead; coffins, tombs that sort of thing. Northerners tend to stick to the much more traditional cremation.”
“What if-” She stopped herself before forcing the words out, “What if you don’t have the body?”
Belethor seemed stunned for a moment. “I don’t know for certain. Usually the burning of personal symbols helps connect the soul and let them pass on. They don’t have to be direct possessions, just symbolic in a way.” Belethor explained. “Ask Andurs, the priest of Arkay for the passage rights. He’ll know more.”
“Thankyou Belethor.” The man smiled and the huntress walked away to find a the priest.
In the back of her mind she worried about Vilkas, he had not been seen since they learned of Ariella’s death. No matter what, they would wait for him to return before they performed the ceremony. Farkas had begged that they wait for Vilkas’ return and Aela had eventually agreed with him. Some needed the closure more than others.

Vilkas perspective next part (which will hopefully be a day or two away)
