I remember this story, and I also remember the author. I think it was the girl who deleted her FF account after her husband and his friends found her account and gave her hell over writing such "sick stuff" as smut. The poor thing wrote her farewells into her profile and then disappeared. I was just as disappointed because the character development, especially the relationship between the OC and Vilkas, was really great.
However, I can sympathize. If my partner (staunch catholic!) found my fanfiction on the computer, it surely would put quite the strain on our relationship.

Sadly I don't remember enough detail about the story, and anyway, I could not take anyone else's OCs and make them believable, but I hope you find someone who can, OP!

This is very sad to hear... There was an amazing fic I read once, favorited, and when I went back to read it again a few months later, it was gone. I thought I might have imagined the whole thing, but...I swear, it did exist at some point!

The first thing I did when I met my significant other was introduce him to all my stories and side-writings. I needed him to be okay with it before I took it any further. To my deep relief, he was very okay with it and is now one of my biggest supporters. I could not imagine what I would do if he had been an ass and told me I was sick for writing what I write - I'm sure he's watched worse porn than what I could ever imagine to write! What happened to the author that wrote that F!OC/Vilkas story should not have had to go through something like that at all. Many feels go out to that person. =[
