My F!DB is a Bosmer with a Dunmer father, just as an fyi.

Tabi was six when her mother died. She wove a crown of flowers for her mother's head, placing it delicately on her head before her uncle and father laid her mother in the ground. There had been conflict about how to pay respects, none of which Tabi understood but she could that see her father and uncle were upset the whole day except for when they spoke of her mother.

After the funeral Tabi's life lost much of the magic and warmth her mother had lent to it. Her father had never been a pleasant man but he was calmer in her mother's presence. Without her, Tabi's father was relentless in his anger, sending her to bed at night with more bruises than food.

When she took to spending more time with her mother's brother and his son, Tabi was sure he was happy.

Tabi had come to Skyrim as a young adult to escape her father's ire, seemingly caused by her very existence. Skyrim was different, new; free of her father. And yet, after the events in Helgen, Tabi found herself sending a letter to her father telling him of the dragon and her near execution.

He wrote back that he was disappointed the dragon hadn't eaten her. That had been the entire message.

When she learned she was dragonborn, an inheritance she hoped from her mother though it would explain so much of her father, Tabi wrote to her father again.

He wrote back to her, weeks later, asking what he'd done wrong to be bothered by so many letters from her.

Tabi responded by putting the letter on the floor for her dog, Meelo, to piss on. Why did she bother?
