Lore Nerd says: No Emperor after Pelagius III was a direct descendant of Tiber Septim. The throne passed from Pelagius III (the mad Emperor whose mind you enter in Sheogorath's Skyrim quest) to his wife Katariah, a Dunmer - who was somehow declared Dragonborn and allowed to wear the Amulet of Kings (!) - and then to Pelagius's son Cassynder, who only lasted a couple of years. The throne THEN passed to Uriel IV, who was Katariah's son with a different father. And then there was a break in the line, where the throne passed to Cephorus Septim II, a cousin more closely related to Tiber Septim than Uriel IV's son.

Seee www dot uesp dot net /wiki/Lore:Septim_Dynasty for more details.

I am mentioning this solely because it's a popular misconception among Elder Scrolls fans that the entire Septim Dynasty, and in particular Martin Septim, were direct descendants of Tiber Septim. I love Martin to bits, but he's not descended from Talos.
