ANNOUNCEMENTS: UPDATED 12/16/2017

Happy Holidays, fellow Kinkmemers! I have returned and have no reasonable excuse for my absence except LIFE. I will be working on updating the archives. If anyone sees anything amiss, please let me know.

I am also hoping to find another Mod and an Archivist.

The more dedicated people we have in this Meme the less chance of it dying. I admit that being the sole keeper of the Meme is not great for the fandom. If something were to happen to me, for good, this place would go the way of the Fallout Kink Meme. Let's not let that happen! If anyone would be interested in Modding/Archiving, please drop me a line. Thanks! <3

Call of the Blood 12.3/?

I ran from Vilkas's room, leaving him standing in the doorway, head spinning with too many thoughts and unwanted feelings. He didn't follow or call out to me and part of me knew that he was as confused as I was about whatever was going on between us. My feet took me to Aela's room and I knocked, though I still wasn't certain what I wanted to say or even what I was doing there. The door opened and Aela was there, face pallid and drawn, fearsome warpaint washed away, "Igne. What do you want?"
"I just wanted to see how you are."

She didn't reply, staring at me impassively for a long moment before turning back round with a jerk of her head, leaving the door open. I entered the room, shutting the door behind me. Neither of us sat, both eying each other somewhat warily. Someone had to make the first move though and I blurted out, "I'm sorry Skjor died."
At the same time Aela said, "I'm not sorry I turned you."
"I didn't think for one second you were."

We glared at each other briefly and Aela was the first to drop her gaze, "I didn't know the Hand were waiting for you outside the Underforge. When we went to find you, you were gone but Skjor caught their scent, said he's follow them whilst I went and got the twins. He felt guilty, I think. He was a damn good man and he didn't deserve to die like that."
I nodded dully. Nobody deserves to die like that.
"Are you angry with us?" She sounded merely curious, that it didn't matter to her one way or the other what I felt.
"Yes. But I'm angry at myself mostly and I'm angry at the Silver Hand."
"They're still out there, you know. They have two more hideouts like that hidden away."
My eyes met hers.
"Kodlak is watching me. I'm being confined to quarters for the moment and all I want is for the bastards that did this to pay. All of them."
"So what do you suggest?"
"Fancy doing some hunting?"
A slow smile spread across my face, I was tired of being timid, tired of being weak and I wanted vengeance. Hunting sounded good.
"You know what? I think I do."
"I knew I could count on you, sister. Give me a day or so and I'll tell you the hunting ground."
She extended her hand to mine and I clasped forearms with her in a warriors embrace, "Partners?"
"Partners."

You posted just in time, my hands were beginning to shake, I was showing signs of withdrawal! This has become my addiction! So far it's everything I hoped for A!A! I can't wait to read more and feed my addiction *sighs in bliss*

I noticed a little error though (at least I think it's an error), you said Falk healed Inge, but I think you meant Farengar, the Jarl's court wizzard? Falk is Elisif's steward in Solitude, I doubt he'd be much help ;)

So now the hunt is about to begin, I'm so curious to see what you have planned, will she pull it off or will something go wrong, landing her in more trouble than she can handle? Will it be Vilkas to the rescue again? Owww I need more!

DERP!A!A here!

You are absolutely right- it should be Farengar not Falk...that's what happens when you write at seven in the morning after twelve hours of work! I knew his name began with an F though...does that count? Thanks for the correction! :)

Igne's had enough of being the damsel in distress, of course with Igne's luck I think it's safe to say nothing's ever easy... ;)

Writing this prompt has become my addiction! When I first saw this prompt I thought it would be a nice little 5 chapter fill...and then it grew and grew...We need to set up KinkMemers Anonymous or something (we've got the anonymous part down!)

Haha I know the feeling, but sometimes the muses just won't shut up and you have only one option, WRITE! ;)

Am I a bad person for secretly hoping the Silver Hand get another shot at torturing and/or raping Inge? Oh my... I am a bad person aren't I... I just can't help it, this Kink Meme has corrupted me! I just hope Hell will still have me...

KinkMemers Anonymous sounds good to me... I think I need it, especially after this delightful story!

Damn you muses! *shakes fist at the sky*

If you're a bad person what does that make me? ;) KinkMeme has corrupted me too...some of the things I have written in here, if anyone I knew found out... o.O' well, awkwardness would ensue.

On a side note the first meeting of KinkMemers Anonymous will be held in next Tuesday, Room 5b, Second Circle of Hell, Hell. I'll be there and bringing chocolate covered Vilkas for dessert...

No. No. NO.

I'm sorry but this is absolutely terrible characterisation. Aela would NEVER force a person to take the blood. Or did you MISS the part where they reassured you they won't make you?

You've butchered two characters in the name of plot progression. Aela is forceFUL but she wouldn't force someone. And Skjor is too rational to force a werewolf. I seriously can't believe you removed their characteristics like that. I'm disappointed, A!A.

This is fanfiction, out of characterness is allowed and as long as it goes with the story I see no problem with it. A!A Did not butcher anyone, she chose to make some changes that may or may not fit the characters, but do go with the story. If you do not like it, no one is forcing you to read the story.

On another note you could have voiced your opinion in a much friendlier way (e.g. you would have preferred Skjor and Aela remained in character, or you believed their characters to be different or any number of things really), thus showing respect for the A!A working hard on this story.

I don't do things by halves and I'm never nice about this. I've seen enough terrible fanfiction and characterisation destruction in the name of writing fanfic. It's not acceptable if you're a dedicated writer to simply change an entire character to fit your story. Muses fight and muses do what they want and forcing them to do what you want because it suits you is wrong.

A!A here,

I understand where you're coming from but like the other Anon said; this is fanfiction (and unless you're the OP then sorry but tough luck! ;) If you are OP then sorry!). Skyrim is a wonderful game but characterisation of the NPCs is somewhat neutral in order to allow the gamer choice in the open world setting and as such you can project your own ideas onto them. And the great thing about that is it can change. I love Aela and Skjor but in this universe they did what they did to Igne for a reason (and what they believe to be a rational one at that); the Silver Hand are meant to be a huge threat to the Companions in this story but in game they attack the Companions just once (to introduce them and lead to the werewolf side of the plot).

I am writing a story where the Silver Hand are a continuous threat to the Companions with active plots against them and the Circle are aware of this but they are not the aggressors (unlike in the game). Kodlak is trying to remove the Beast blood and Farkas and Vilkas are also abstaining; in my head Skjor and Aela were frustrated with this and also with what they perceive to be a lack of action on this front- how many times does Kodlak mention the Hand? Or send you on a quest to fight them? The Circle is dwindling and Skjor and Aela believe that Kodlak is throwing away centuries of tradition and a great gift. So they did what they thought they had to do and as soon as it was done Skjor felt guilty and went looking for her. As for Aela she still is convinced she gave Igne a gift and that it will help save her life. Her attitude may change slightly over the next few chapters but she is grieving and stubborn and needs vengeance.

There are conversations later on that explain this more and delve into Aela's mindset so either keep reading and trust me somewhat or stop reading. You are entitled to your opinion, so am I. It may not be what you want from a fanfiction. There will be more plot changes. There may be more of what you perceive to be OOCness. I am enjoying writing this and I will continue to do so (well until OP asks me to stop- I am their personal chef and they can fire me :p)

The trouble with anonimity.... I forgot to say it was OP that did not agree with the comment and showed her support. Like I said if it fits with the story I don't mind ooc at all, in fact sometimes it's better for the story as a whole. OP loves the story and won't even consider firing, you're stick with me A!A ;)

I reiterate my point: Do not butcher someone's characteristics because 'plot progression.' I don't care if I'm not the OP, and the Companions definitely DO NOT have neutral personalities.

You could have done this different ways; Igne didn't have to be FORCED to take the blood. She could have thought it over and changed her mind. Instead you decided Aela and Skjor were forcible people, not patient warriors, and changed their characters.

Did you ever consider that Kodlak doesn't mention the Hand until they're a problem because he doesn't want to be forced to come up against them? Or that Aela and Skjor know that forcing a werewolf can have disastrous consequences oh wait look what happened she got captured.

Aela's outlook on the wolf blood is that it's a great gift, yes, but not once does Aela ever force you to do anything in game. I severely hope her attitude changes back to her actual self, A!A. And I hope you don't butcher anyone else because if you really enjoy writing these characters you'll accept their given personalities and not try to change them.

OK, I'm bored now and don't want to get into a long argument over this.

I get it, you don't like my story; fair enough. I could have done it different ways. I didn't. Tough.

I will now draw your attention to the nice long list of rules posted at the top of every page:

N Constructive criticism:only allowed if the Auth!Anon asks for it specifically. Note that this is a place for fanfiction - no one needs a lesson on how their prompt doesn't fit in with the lore or canon. Please keep your corrections about grammar, lore and spelling to yourself.

I didn't ask for constructive criticism; I don't want it. The OP is happy with it and that's all I care about. Now stop it.

C!Anon, you are being incredibly inappropriate. You've rudely barged onto someone's thread for a story you're not enjoying and decided to order A!Anon how to write their story for... what? Your own self entitlement? Because A!Anon's interpretation of the characters doesn't suit your own?

Fanfiction is fun because we explore the alternatives or fill in the gaps of what happened in the cannon. One of the best things about it is that it actively encourages people to create their own stories and art and allows a community to grow. Not one single piece of fanfiction, kink or otherwise, is going to completely match up to everyone's own headcannon but its fun to see other people's take on stories?

Even better? ITS FREE AND NOT MANDATORY. If you do not like a story you do not read it. Simple as that.

If you had bothered to read the K!Meme's rules you would have found this:

★N Constructive criticism: only allowed if the Auth!Anon asks for it specifically. Note that this is a place for fanfiction - no one needs a lesson on how their prompt doesn't fit in with the lore or canon. Please keep your corrections about grammar, lore and spelling to yourself.

So please get off this thread and stop spoiling this story for the rest of us.

Call of the Blood Disclaimer

Date: 2013-07-14 07:07 pm (UTC)
From: (Anonymous)
WARNING! The fanfiction you are about to read is FAKE. All the places, characters, and events are more or less fictitious in their presentation and you are expected to know it never happened. It's not a biography, people, and it's sure as hell not canon; it's fanfiction. Expect nothing but lies. LIES! And made up stuff. And dialogue that never happened in game. P.S. You cannot refund time, so if I end up wasting yours, then do us both a favour and get over it. Don't whine about it in the comments underneath- people reading this Meme don't want to read your arguments on how I should write my own story stuck in between their beloved fics on flat view. This is a happy place where people can write whatever the hell they want even if it's about Alduin's forbidden love for sweetrolls P.P.S. This fanfiction contains strong depictions of arson, murder and jaywalking and readers who may be offended by this are advised to seek therapy if they should accidently read this. But I could be lying. I do that sometimes ;)

And thank you lovely Anons and OP for your support! <3

I'd totally read a fic about Alduin's forbidden love for sweetrolls.

Oh my, so much drama since the last time I was here. Just wanted to voice my own support for A!A. I love this fic and I love what your doing with it. It's definitely your own while being believable.

I am eagerly awaiting the next chapter.

I looked forward to these chapters! I like the way you're describing your characters, and I think Aela is very realistic, I always thought she was like a wolf in a cage while I was playing, and certainly she had a character type what you described! I'd like to write a chapter for the thoughts of vilkas while recounting his feelings of igne to farkas! to understand how he has heard from Markarth up to today! I know that she is going to make yet another silly but he will be there for her, I know! please update soon and good luck!

Well as we all know, her plans don't always work out like she wants ;)

Things will be heating up in a couple of chapters, especially now that they are both realising they have feelings for each other. Of course they're still both stubborn idiots so certain things need to happen first...
